McDougald sucks. Doesn’t do crap the whole match but back up when Carter shoots and in the last few seconds just starts slapping Carter in the face to get stalling a point.
Bs!!!!!!!Refs f'n suck that match. They screwed Young big time. McDougal was only aggressive for like 30 seconds to tie it up then stalled the rest of the match.
149 - Young drops a 6-5 Dec in OT on RT.
13-3 oSu
He’s a dumb motherfvcker is what he is! He should really study up on what a takedown looks like, cuz Ray Charles seen more than that douche! Cost us a match! Idiot! This ref seems lost and unsure
Parker is about the only guy from OU who showed up to wrestle tonight.184 - Plott with a 19-6 MD for win #100.
27-3 oSu
20-4 tech fall they missed a takedown of his at one point. Final score 35-3HWT - Hendrickson with a 18-4 MD.
34-3 oSu
No, he only rode for 3 secondsI might be wrong, but why didn't Carter Young pick Neutral in OT. The score was tied 6-6 and he had a few seconds of riding time. If Carter doesn't get taken down in 30 seconds he would've won right?
Good dual win, beating up on the Sooners. Spratley wrestled very good beating a good opponent by major with 3 takedowns. Here I was thinking at 133 Hughes should be our starter and all of a sudden Reese pancakes his opponent for the pin. Great comeback but that was how he lost in the first round of Vegas and so he needs to not make those giant mistake's or it will cost him down the road. Very strong and solid win by Tagen with 2 takedowns. Carter did get screwed with 2 fast stalling calls to take the match to overtime. Carter needs to finish takedowns better especially how poor he is off the bottom. He should have been able to get an escape in 30 seconds especially considering the sooner is not good on the top position. Before he hurt his knee 2 years ago he was showing All American material at 141. Carter has not shown us that ability this year. Fish had a solid win against an opponent I never heard of. Amine wore his opponent down and then ran thru his opponent in the 3rd period. Dean did not finish takedowns and could not get an escape. He should have been more aggressive, but his opponent was dangerous and could make you pay for a mistake. Plott wore his opponent down and owned him in the 3rd period with lots of takedowns. Surber wrestled okay and won. Hendrickson wore his opponent down and dominated the 3rd period and got the tech. Good wrestling. No, he only rode for 3 seconds
I understand that. But that would've been 3 more seconds than his opponent if he choose neutral and didn't get taken down in the 30 seconds. No, he only rode for 3 seconds
I guess I’m confused?I understand that. But that would've been 3 more seconds than his opponent if he choose neutral and didn't get taken down in the 30 seconds.
You are correct. If it is tied after the second tiebreaker, the wrestler with a riding time advantage wins. In this case, though, the ref would likely have hit Carter with another stall the first time he didn’t move forward. Still, Carter needs to finish his shots. And learn to get off bottom, especially when the opponent is known to be a very poor rider.I understand that. But that would've been 3 more seconds than his opponent if he choose neutral and didn't get taken down in the 30 seconds.
Probably because of the potential of another bogus stall call. Plus believe he had gotten off bottom every time before.I might be wrong, but why didn't Carter Young pick Neutral in OT. The score was tied 6-6 and he had a few seconds of riding time. If Carter doesn't get taken down in 30 seconds he would've won right?
The new singlets are awesome! Cursive cowboys always looks good.I do like the new singlets and the brightest orange shoes.
The front cursive Cowboys and the back orange, black, and white chevron looked amazing.I do like the new singlets and the brightest orange shoes.
Yeah, very frustrating. I wrestled against a kid in state, that I beat several times before quite soundly. His entire purpose during that match was to not lose. He had no intention to score and I never ended up bonusing. But, if Hamiti wants to be the champ, he has to impose his will on every opponent. When a wrestler gets better, teams take note and will game plan against him. Let’s see where the coaching staff goes from here. The previous coaching staff never did get Fix to evolve adapt to wrestlers who stalled. Who’s that one wrestler, the moment Fix would step on the mat, he would grab Fix’s wrist with both hands and never let go the entire match? Super frustrating but the coaches and Fix never evolved and changed tactics. It’s not march yet, go pokesDean did not finish takedowns and could not get an escape.
I tried to call Micco this morning to tell him 1 out of 10 is not bad but sadly no answer. Drove by his house but for sale sign is up so I drove to the Fire Station but no Micco. He has apparently gone to ground where no News media canAlright Bitches...hold on to your fake 10-gallon Stetson hats. Micco is here to give you the actual scoop on what's going to happen to you at McCasland Field House, arguably the toughest arena ever built.
25 Spratley vs. Antonio Lorenzo - Spratley has trouble with people who are either really tall, really short, or mid-height. And Lorenzo has him covered on at least two of those bases. Lorenzo opens up the dual with a 6-2 win.
133 Witcraft vs. Belton - Whether he leaves his "Belt on" or takes his "Belt off", Witcraft is in for a whooping. Not necessarily calling for bonus points. But, that's what's going to happen.
141 Jamison vs. Schwartz - "You can't outfunk the new Funk Master. He can hit you from anywhere." - Ben Askren. Askren may or may not have said it, but it's appropriate. Schwartz will hit him with so many lefts, he'll be begging for a right. It won't be by bonus points...oh hell, yes it will.
149 Young vs. McDougal - The wily old veteran McDougal will be too much for the "Young" Cowboy. Bonus points, possibly by the second period.
157 Fish vs. Schubert or KJ Evans - Schubert...KJ Evans...it don't matter. The guy in the Crimson and Cream singlet will be getting his hand raised, and it will add four more points to OU's team total.
165 Amine vs. Morgan or Picklo - Change the names. See above. Aye Mine. Ahhminay. Ameenee. No matter how you pronounce it, your guys is going to be hurtin' for certain. The only question remaining will be if we get double the bonus points if we weighed in two guys? I'll check the rule book.
174 Hamiti vs.Sax - Wasn't there a big Ape called Hamiti? And wasn't he put down? History repeats itself. Sax will be called "Animal Control" when he gets done with Ham and Egg. Bonus points for Sax!
184 Plott vs. Parker -IF Plott shows...big IF as it's a well-reported fact Plott's so afraid of Parker that it begs the question if he'll actually show up...but IF he does, it won't matter. Parker by double digits for Bonus Points!
197 Surber vs. Hill - Can't remember if Surber has red hair or not, but it won't matter because Hill will beat him like he's his stepchild. It's probably too early to call for a fall...wait, it's now five seconds later. It's a Fall!!!
285 Hendrickson vs. Mora - It will come down to the Heavyweight match...to see if OSU can even get on the board. And the answer is a resounding NO!!! Mora sticks the fat poke in the third after leading by 10!
The sad truth of all of this is you just KNOW in your Cowboy heart of hearts that this is what is in store tonight. OU 42-0!!!
Bring it!!!!
Yes but the kid is a hammer on top and puts the pressure on you to make a mistake underneath and will pin you. Dean chose neutral for a reason for the 2nd period. As I watched it, reminded me so much of the Lewis/Dierenger match at GIA. AD had a sizable lead but was rode the entire 3rd period. Mainly bc he knew if he made a mistake, it would be trouble. He learned from it though and purposely chose down in the ncaa semis and escaped pretty quickly.174 - Hamiti with a 4-0 Dec. He got ridden almost the entire 3rd but the uo guy was just riding and wasn't trying to turn.
23-3 oSu
