McDougald sucks. Doesn’t do crap the whole match but back up when Carter shoots and in the last few seconds just starts slapping Carter in the face to get stalling a point.

That whole match at 149 was some bull shit.
Refs f'n suck that match. They screwed Young big time. McDougal was only aggressive for like 30 seconds to tie it up then stalled the rest of the match.

It seems like Plott took exception to the sooner trying to throw headbutts there at the end and made him pay for it.
Parker is about the only guy from OU who showed up to wrestle tonight.
Did anyone else watching the Sooner stream on ESPN+ think Spates sounded almost disgusted with McDougald being named winner of the 149 match?

I might be wrong, but why didn't Carter Young pick Neutral in OT. The score was tied 6-6 and he had a few seconds of riding time. If Carter doesn't get taken down in 30 seconds he would've won right?
Good dual win, beating up on the Sooners. Spratley wrestled very good beating a good opponent by major with 3 takedowns. Here I was thinking at 133 Hughes should be our starter and all of a sudden Reese pancakes his opponent for the pin. Great comeback but that was how he lost in the first round of Vegas and so he needs to not make those giant mistake's or it will cost him down the road. Very strong and solid win by Tagen with 2 takedowns. Carter did get screwed with 2 fast stalling calls to take the match to overtime. Carter needs to finish takedowns better especially how poor he is off the bottom. He should have been able to get an escape in 30 seconds especially considering the sooner is not good on the top position. Before he hurt his knee 2 years ago he was showing All American material at 141. Carter has not shown us that ability this year. Fish had a solid win against an opponent I never heard of. Amine wore his opponent down and then ran thru his opponent in the 3rd period. Dean did not finish takedowns and could not get an escape. He should have been more aggressive, but his opponent was dangerous and could make you pay for a mistake. Plott wore his opponent down and owned him in the 3rd period with lots of takedowns. Surber wrestled okay and won. Hendrickson wore his opponent down and dominated the 3rd period and got the tech. Good wrestling.

I understand that. But that would've been 3 more seconds than his opponent if he choose neutral and didn't get taken down in the 30 seconds.
You are correct. If it is tied after the second tiebreaker, the wrestler with a riding time advantage wins. In this case, though, the ref would likely have hit Carter with another stall the first time he didn’t move forward. Still, Carter needs to finish his shots. And learn to get off bottom, especially when the opponent is known to be a very poor rider.
Great night for the Cowboys. First trip to Snorman for bedlam and what a horrible atmosphere. Lame in venue production and their fans didn’t even try to care. Of course we outnumbered them too.
Probably because of the potential of another bogus stall call. Plus believe he had gotten off bottom every time before.

Yeah, very frustrating. I wrestled against a kid in state, that I beat several times before quite soundly. His entire purpose during that match was to not lose. He had no intention to score and I never ended up bonusing. But, if Hamiti wants to be the champ, he has to impose his will on every opponent. When a wrestler gets better, teams take note and will game plan against him. Let’s see where the coaching staff goes from here. The previous coaching staff never did get Fix to evolve adapt to wrestlers who stalled. Who’s that one wrestler, the moment Fix would step on the mat, he would grab Fix’s wrist with both hands and never let go the entire match? Super frustrating but the coaches and Fix never evolved and changed tactics. It’s not march yet, go pokes

I tried to call Micco this morning to tell him 1 out of 10 is not bad but sadly no answer. Drove by his house but for sale sign is up so I drove to the Fire Station but no Micco. He has apparently gone to ground where no News media can
penetrate. He may only return when his football team wins the SEC championship which is not in the forseeable
future. Micco leaves a wife and two daughters, an aging father, three siblings and possibly one friend to mourn his passing. Any reported sightings will be appreciated.
