Florida dems take hard left and I may be an idiot.

i enjoyed the honest rage

My peace comes from (admittedly) my belief that while I rage, I make damn sure I'm grasping on to a legitimate rational thought while doing so....then force it into language.

Ain't got time for the non-critical B.S. spoken by many.

I have no issue with a beatdown of a legit racist. I take much issue with the Left's proclivity to hide within words or phrases, assign their own Gawddamn interpretation of intent....like someone appointed them a demi-God, and are tasked with vomiting out for everybody how bad some person or thing is.

My attacks, while a bit aggressive, are 100% merited.

Leftists need to start practicing genuine critical analysis before vomiting their robotic, conditioned reactions to anything they perceive as racist.

Critical self and situational analysis...do it.

You (the royal 'you') don't get a ribbon for being the first to find and call out genuine racism. But you do create genuine, societal harm by all your inaccuracy and inability to move the fuk along when reasonable people aren't seeing the same shit you think you see.

So, what's the solution? Just shut up and assume the best?

How do you know that the individuals blowing the whistle over "monkey this up" are being overly sensitive and inaccurate?

And, if you are going to get so upset by liberals slowing down the wheels of progress with their outrage, what about the conservatives who gum things up by making up fake stories and sharing them on social media? You act like one side is made up of awful people who will stoop to any level to push their agenda, while the other side consists of respectful individuals who are all on the up and up.

There are shitty people, on both sides, who don't play fair. Do the right wingers also need to practice some critical analysis before vomiting their robotic conditioned reactions?

That's exactly the point. You don't know - yet continue to skewer where politically expedient and convenient.

The correct answer to your question is that you give them the benefit of the doubt until a pattern of language or actions would belie the assumption of innocence. I'm going to do my best to treat and speak to others in a manner that is respectful to them. But I'll be damned that I'll walk on egg shells around people looking to be offended. If they aren't going to reciprocate the respect I'm trying to give - screw em.

And that's why the visceral reaction to the reactionary claims of racism at the slightest tongue slip. Screw you if you are looking to be offended.

No. Let's begin every interaction with the assumption that the person you're interacting with is a *.ist and *.phobe of all available varieties and make them prove beyond all shadows of your doubt that they aren't. Sounds like a recipe for successful interaction.
Ex-fugging-zactly!

Says the guy who flips out and starts calling people pieces of shit for merely typing "Hope Florida voters don't monkey it up and vote for the Dem."

Hello Mr. Binomial Distribution proves the rampant sexism within the Republican party.

Brad, we already know how this goes. We have done it several times, and you seem to be misquoting me worse than usual.
Maybe settle down and stop doing the very things you are raging at other people for?

I know how it goes, but I can't vouch for you.

Been, you can like this post, too. I don't think you were around for the context being cited, so I know you are handing out likes for free.

Parroting syskatine... lol.

It's hilarious that you dudes don't know that incels and no masturbation don't usually go "hand in hand."

Sorry. I guess I have more to learn about Brad's culture than I thought.
I'm pretty sure you actually mean syskatine's culture. He's the one who has an issue with dudes who choose sex with women over masturbation.

Or, we could assume nothing. And people can be responsible for their own words and not say things that might be interpreted as someone who is an *.ist or *.phobe. And when they say those things, we can decide that said individual said something that is clearly *.istic/*.phobic. Or we can say, "that sounded kind of *.istic/*.phobic, maybe he should have used different words. (which is what happened in this case).

You seem to be overly concerned with my use of the like button. Just sayin'.

lol. Annnnd we're back. Anything can be interpreted as *.ist or *.phobe by someone who loves finding things to be offended by.

Refer back to my post you quoted. It's a never ending game of meaningless squawking at this point. People who are determined to be offended will take every opportunity to find something to be offended by.

That's assuming the whole thing isn't just political dog whistling like this case was, simple fodder for the group think.

Can goy be used as an offensive term?

I think it is debatable. I have heard the term since I was a kid. It is always used to denote someone who is not Jewish, but not really used with derision.

"I heard she has a new boyfriend. He's a goy".

"I love going to see a movie on X-mas morning. I see all my Jewish friends there. The goys are all home celebrating".

I think it is possible for a goy to feel like it is being used derisively in certain situations and take offense, so I wouldn't use it in public.

I have a group of buddies that I go out to dinner with once a month. 5 of the 6 are Jewish. We kid the 6th guy about being the token goy with some regularity.

I can honestly say that I have never heard anyone use it in a derisive manner, unless they were clearly joking.
