Firing Mueller....

Dumbass Donald has apparently been throwing out hints that he's considering firing Sessions. Although I'm no fan of Sessions, Trump is an absolute idiot to a)make it "known" that he's considering it and b)he's actually considering it.

Trump's daily routine now:
Wake up.
Step on own dick.
Try to convince everyone that other people stepped on his dick.
Whine about his own appointees stepping on his dick.
Fake news rant.
Sleep.

Would you please stop? This is much more fun when you defend him.

Yeah, I probably forgot a few more details.

I'm trying to wrap my head around why people call Trump a bully. Trump is the kid that people pick on because his reaction to being picked on makes it damn enjoyable to keep picking on him.

Agree with these ---- Sessions has been excellent on the border (no other national GOP figure has achieved any positive, measurable results on immigration in the last few decades).

But Sessions' mindblowingly stupid war on weed (while ignoring the Deep State and Hillary) makes him need to be called out. Trump calling for legalizing marijuana would help him coast into a second term.

I think all this could possibly all be strategy (like below)......but we shall see.

A couple things.

The neocon congress is at best, useless. At worst, purposely obstructionist. I see that more as a legit obstacle than an excuse.

Also, regarding Mueller, this ever expanding scope reduces the legitimacy of the mandate IMO. Maybe that's just me. I bought into the idea this was a professional investigation specifically into the election. Expanding the scope tells me they are finding nothing in their initial mandate, and the expansion casts doubt on the purpose being what it was sold to be. To me anyway.

So we will probably find out Trump is a shithead who has done business with other shitheads. And we will pretend to be shocked or care because we revere the sanctity of the office or something.

I wonder what we would find if we crawled up every precious president's ass to this degree.
You recall Ken Starr no?

I would be thrilled to see President Trump fire Mueller and bring on a humongous shitstorm. The American people are not being truly served unless there is a shitstorm going on all the time in Washington. When you see peace and quiet then we are getting screwed. I voted for President Trump to create the shitstorm and rule via shitstorm. But if Trump decides not to fire Mueller then I guess I'll be alright with it. What we have going on right now is far better than Clinton.

So is the goal of the Mueller investigation to resolve the Russia question or to dig until he finds anything dirty? We know that's what Ken Starr's investigation became. Is that what you expect from Mueller? Is that what you want?

The Ken Starr response is to those that are claiming the breadth and time of the investigation is completely unprecedented.

It's not.

As for Mueller's authority:

He is authorized to investigate “any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump,” according to Mr. Rosenstein’s order naming him to the post, as well as other matters that “may arise directly from the investigation.” He is empowered to press criminal charges, and he can request additional resources subject to the review of an assistant attorney general.

Trumps financial dealings, if any, with Russians that may be intermediaries for the Russian government and its agencies fits firmly within his mandate.

So. Basically, you will be happy with whatever Trump does or does not do.

Cheerleading "your" guy isn't a new concept. There are several posters here that applauded and gleefully spread powdered sugar on every turd laid by Obama regardless of how slimy and stinky it actually was because it was Obama. That's just partisan politics.

There was even one poster who posted photos of mangled disabled veterans to enhance his love affair with all things Obama.

Some are more akin to cheerleaders than others.

So basically the "as well as other matters" segment allows for him to dig until he finds something. Like I said, the way I solve this is to have it reported weekly what the cost of this investigation is to the taxpayers. If nothing else, it would serve as a win for Trump to the moderate middle class who are tired of watching D.C. spend frivolously while they continue to tighten their belts.

Doesn't that apply to all things government these days? Trump's travel expenditures, for example?

This was one thing I was expecting from Trump that we have yet to see. I figured he would focus on wasteful government spending and find ways to curtail it. Not sure if it is high on his priority list at this point.

Biff acts so guilty. He whines and bullies and conceals and repeats the process over and over. Medic, your conversion is welcome but puzzling. Biff lied, bragged, said stupid things, was self destructive and vulgar for two years. Why now? He hasn't acted any differently than he telegraphed during the campaign.

No there wasn't. Not one. There were a few (myself included) that thought he was a good POTUS, and defended him against the constant nitpicking and lies (birthers, pizza pedophiles, jade helm, muslim, atheist, etc). The same critics of him are now defending far, far worse and corrupt conduct. Imagine if Obama refused to disclose his tax returns, or launched 57 missiles at an enemy he warned first and the enemy flew out bombers the same day.

Imagine if Obama played as much golf as Biff. I don't hear much about that on here. I remember the criticism about the money he spent going to Hawaii, which Biff and Mel dwarfed with their champagne and caviar lifestyle. The double standard is comical.

And a good chunk of the people that called them out for doing so are now doing the exact same thing.

Which is how we have ended up where we are with national leadership.

Which is not a great place to be,

Talk to the Trump appointee that gave him that mandate. The whole Russia thing is some ridiculous leftie attack on Trump without substance and should be stopped. That completely ignores the fact that the special counsel was empowered by someone appointed by Trump. Rosenstein is a Trump supporter. There was no law requiring him to appoint a special counsel. He did that....not the left....not anyone else...a Trump supporter.

Isn't the purpose of a criminal investigation to find violations of the criminal law? Personally, if by "something" you mean criminal violations...IMO, an overinclusive investigation is better than the "nothing to see here, stop the investigation before it actually starts" crowd.

Right now I am unhappy that he has not fired Mueller already. But I am elated that Hillary Clinton is not president of the United States.

1. He can't fire Mueller. He doesn't have the legal authority. He can pull a Saturday Night Massacre and fire everybody in the DOJ....starting with Sessions, then Rosenstein...down the line until someone will do it for him. That didn't work out real well for the last one to do that.

2. How long is "not Hillary" gonna be Trump's primary positive?

How long will the left and the mainstream media keep on with the monumental misunderstanding of Trump voters across the country? For a long time to come I hope.

What is your understanding of Trump voters?

My understanding is that they are not a monolithic body that will cheer on anything beloved leader decides he wants to do...like you do.

It is my understanding that a good chunk of them were "lesser of two evils" kind of voters and a good chunk were voting for him to deliver certain things he promised while acting within the bounds of the law.

I could be wrong though.

I'm pretty sure we're getting a broad, comprehensive investigation regardless of how much the hard core Trumpies whine and moan about it on-line though.

I just explained that I am disappointed in Trump for not firing the witch hunter. Read each word. Read each sentence. Comprehend. I am very disappointed that there is not a mammoth shitstorm each and every day, all day. The president has to get better at making this happen.

IMO, president Trump should also fire Jeff Sessions and I hope he does it soon. I wanted to see Sessions go on the day he announced he was recusing himself. Then, when Sessions began the stupid drug war bullshit that sealed it. I do not want to see this country wasting hundreds of billions of dollars on something that is a waste of time when there is literally tons of evidence Hillary Clinton and her campaign colluded with foreign governments, including Russia, to raise money via the Clinton Foundation to run for the U.S. presidency.

I want him to fire Sessions, and I want him to say when he does it that he is doing so because he does not believe that the continued enforcement of MJ prohibition as well as the re-affirming of civil forfeiture laws does not align with the direction the country wants to go. Fire him for something unrelated to Hillary or Russia.

I comprehended what you wrote fully.

You explained YOUR viewpoint.

Didn't mention at all "Trump voters".

Are you contending that all Trump voters as an entire body basically just want to see Trump f*** shit up, sit back, and enjoy the dumpster fire? Fire Mueller himself even though he can't legally do so?

Btw, you're getting a full and comprehensive Russia investigation whether you want it or not. That is inevitable at this point.

I'm still waiting for the neocons and Hillary crowd to figure out the real reason people voted Trump in. It's kind of like a group of old country clubbers trying their best to hang on and keep the women, Jews and Blacks out.

So lie?

Because he is already on record as saying he is mad at Sessions for recusing and nothing about mj.

There is precedent for this from him, I guess.

JD, I believe that Trump DOES actually have authority to fire Mueller.

Unlike the Independent Counsel's position held by Ken Starr, the "Special Counsel's" office is NOT established by an act of Congress, but rather by a "rule" issued by an administrative agency, the DOJ. Thus, all Trump would need is to have the agency withdraw the rule, which is fairly easy to do, following the decision of SCOTUS in Perez v Mortgage Bankers Association, 135 S.Ct. 16 (2014).

There would be no need for public comment period, or really any other restraint on the DOJ simply withdrawing the rules.

This was not a possibility for Bill Clinton as the Position for Starr, as I mentioned, was created by an Act of Congress and really only Congress could withdraw his authority. Mueller's position only existing due to an internal rule created by the DOJ differs significantly in terms of what the President can do or not do in response.

No. This is probably more me projecting my wishes upon him. I want to see Sessions let go, but it has nothing to do with Russia or Hillary.

Good point, but...

As the rule is presently established he doesn't have the authority to fire him as we speak.

They have every right to reopen the investigation of Hillary because the results of the first one never went thru the proper process. Comey was the one who decided there was nothing to prosecute, that is not his role. Loretta Lynch proved she was not impartial by forcing the FBI to call the investigation a matter and influenced Comey. And Democrats rant on Obstruction? Comey and Lynch both get fired or end up committing suicide if they had gone forward.

Trump is being investigated by attorneys who donated mostly to Democratic candidates.

So let's be fair, let's let both sides of the nasty coin get its own treatment. Get a special prosecutor to put together a team of attorney's that donated to Republican candidates and investigate Hillary's role in security violations both in the United States and abroad, and conflict of interests she violated. Give unlimited resources and no timetable.

They all deserve EQUAL protection and prosecution under the law.

You can hate Donald Trump all you want, but for him to be investigated for the smoke he created and for Hillary not to receive the exact treatment for the smoke she created is the biggest single hypocrisy in the history of the US. FBI, DOJ, and CIA now goes after who they dislike and protects those they like. POLICE STATE.

Get them all, Dems, Reps, I do not care. Expose them all for the sewage they are.

Put Donald and Hilllary in cells next to each other for all I care, but they both should be treated the exact same way, and anyone that believes equal treatment has happened here is more loyal to a party than they are justice for the American people. The biggest pussy in all of this is Bernie, he was a known victim of DNC dirty ops and could have started a shit storm that might have changed the Democratic Party for good, but I guess he valued his life more than exposing the Washington cess pool. So, send his chicken shit azz and his wife to jail too while you are at it. They need to all rot.
