In the updated rankings, Oscar Williams vaults from HM to #9 after beating AJ Heeg and then going on to win Geary. Boo needs to start sending these Edmond North guys our way.
We may already get a rematch tonight as it is a 3 Dog Night. Each of the Edmond schools are facing each other at Memorial.
It was a good match. Heeg came out agressive and secured two first periods takedowns. William pushed the action in the 2nd and 3rd but never could get a takedown. Heeg won 5-4.
Looking at North’s lineup, I thought they were a better dual team than tournament team. Yet they have won 4 tough tournaments this year including two that included Stillwater. However, they needed a pin in the last match (113) to win the dual against Memorial 33-32. Memorial lost a team point early which was the difference.

With Derek White and Austin Schafer coming from North it’s not unprecedented. The Dixon triplets and Teyon wore crimson. Johny wrestled for North in middle school before transferring to Memorial for HS. Boo’ HS coach is the brother of North’s head coach that’s probably the connection there along with OWA. I think those are the connections.
