Bixby vs Stw?

The Geary brackets are out. Hughes & McComas swapped weights. Anthony Ferrari & Lockett are out, Ethan Kyle said he expects them both back in a few weeks.

Semis: Blankenship vs McComas and 2 rematches from the Stampede - Voinovich vs Steed & Angelo Ferrari vs Wiley.

Also, Jordan Williams is westling 160 at Jenks. Might need him or Anthony Ferrari to go 157 next year.

What's the schedule for Saturday? Assuming all the consolation and semis during the day, finals at night?

Don't know. But it has to be a possibility since he graduated last month. Also, Willie had an interview with him last August and the title was something like "Wyatt's last go around". Not sure if that can be taken literally though.

I'm thinking ahead to next year. I think we need to go all in, especially if RBY doesn't return. The possible open weights are 149, 157 & 184. Have to get meaningful points at those weights. So...

Does G come back? John said his conditioning & urgency are the best they've ever been. If no, then Voinovich & Mastro appear to be the leaders.

Does Wyatt come back? If no, can Ferrari or Williams beat out Harper & McLane? Boone & Mechler are unknowns right now.

Does Stika (also graduated) come back? Can he hold off Haas & Montalvo?

I thought somewhere I read that this was Wyatts last year. Pretty sure this is G last year and Harper graduated and pretty sure I’ve heard somewhere that he is moving on as well. Mechler wrestled really well at Lindenwood and Montalvo
is coming back from a knee surgery. Having read anything about Stika.

I’m pretty sure G has one more year left.

I like Mechler. Have you heard anything about Blake Skidgel? I thought he looked good at Lindenwood too. John usually mentions someone after they've caught his eye. The other day he said he wished Skidgel & Teague Travis went to the Scuffle.

He was on the list to attend Reno but tweaked a knee and i believe is just now getting back on the mat. There was an instagram pic of him and plott working out this week. I think Travis was rehabbing a injury as well after his really good showing from Reno. Really deep class of freshman. Travis was a 4 time champion that has looked really good in his redshirt year. Skidgel was a two timer and two sport all stater in football and wrestling. Mechler and Birdwell r both really tough and everyone knows Kyle Haas is a man child and obviously Young is already making noise and can’t leave out Voinovich and mastro because they r both tough and one will likely be in lineup next year at 49

I don't know but I did see the brackets and the biggest semi is Wiley against Angelo Ferrari. They wrestled a few weeks ago if I remember right and Angelo beat Wiley and it wasn't a razor thin decision.

I believe the semis start at 10. Looks like the best matches are on mat 1, including Blankenship/McComas, Roller/Routledge, Voinovich/Steed & Ferrari/Wiley.

Both times now he has done it. That kid fears nobody
Is this youngest Ferrari looking like a 184 lber? AJs fifth year we could possibly run out 3 Ferraris in a row.

Edit, I got excited and forgot about Plott. No matter what we are loading up.

Sheets is a SR this year. G has another year.

Angelo looks like he's on the trajectory to be a an 84/97. Anthony, to me, looks like he'll never be bigger than maybe a 165 (if that).

I'm pretty sure when Anthony comes back it will be at 160 with Angelo at 170.

Geary finals start at 5. Kendall Cross is getting honored

Okstate.com has Sheets listed as:
2016-17 Redshirt FR
2017-18 MHW(medical hardship waiver)
2018-19 Year 1
2019-2020 Year 2
2020-2021 AA and free COVID year
2021-2022 Year 3, this year

According to this he should have one more year of eligibility after this year.

Hughes has really improved the last few years

Robb wins by decision. All the commits/expected commits looked really good.

Also ...
- Announcer said Blankenship is a career 125.
- Several other guys looked good. One was Oscar Williams from Edmond No. He won 182. Class of 2024.
- Boo was coaching as an assistant in the Edmond No corner.

Wrassler, how did the 113 pounder from Piedmont look. I taught his dad years ago and dad was anything but a wrestler in high school. I’m glad mom’s genes are dominant!

I only saw his final (he won). He looked very good. Was really tough on top.

- Blankenship over McComas on a takedown & rideout in the 3rd.
- Routledge over Roller.
- Voinovich over Steed on a rideout in the 3rd.
- Ferrari over Wiley on a takedown in SV.

Hughes & Robb win by major.
Wrassler, Routledge is a freshman who must be really good because Roller is good. Any observations of this Routledge and did he win in the finals. I don't have Matscout and so was unable to watch any of these matches.

He got ahead early and really never allowed Roller to get close. I guess he lost to Cole Brooks in the finals, but I missed it because the stream cut out (apparently the school had a network issue). Roller & Routledge should see each other again at state.

Willie has Routledge ranked #35 overall in the 2025 class.

Thanks, lots of good Oklahoma wrestlers coming up in the next 3 or 4 years.

Edmond North has several good young wrestlers. Does anyone know how we stand with them? Stillwater & Bixby look like recruiting pipelines, it would be great to add Edmond North too.

Anthony wants to come back at 152. Not a real team guy that one. Unlike his bros.

With a shoulder injury surgery you can not work out much and someone thought he looked like a 145. It may be he needs to wrestle 152 because of his size which can still probably win at 170 but if you have done a painful shoulder recovery you don't want to wrestle way bigger guys because of fear of reinjuring it wrestling way bigger guys. Don't know if this is the case but could be. I am sure Oklahoma State does want him to be careful wrestling this winter with a shoulder that still was not ready to even compete this last weekend. Maybe he is a team guy and maybe he is just being smart.

I saw an interview with the Ferrari dad and he said they've tried to be cautious with Anthony's return, but he is itching to get back. It wouldn't be the worst idea to shut him down until freestyle season. Gives him a few more months to rehab & recover and allows Voinovich & Angelo to chase their first state title. Stillwater probably still wins individual and dual state.

I forget if it was Hollingsworth or Routledge (pretty sure Hollingsworth) but one of them was wearing and an OSU headgear.
