Just curious what anyone thinks of the new Graham-Cassidy bill to replace Obamacare. Reading CNBC it looks to give more power back to the states to determine healthcare laws and requirements through the use of block grants rather than having everything centralized back through the federal government. Also restores risk pools (which make sense) and halts the expansion of medicaid (one of my biggest complaints of O-care). Finally it removes the kickbacks..ahem, subsidies, to the insurance companies. And it actually might pass (but we'll see). Curious what others here think of this attempt.

Would like to see the actual bill to read for myself. That's probably a pipe dream though.

Rand Paul doesn't seem to be crazy about it. He seems to be one of the only pols we can trust on this thing.

Rand won't support any effort that's not a full repeal and its clearly apparent that there is no full repeal bill that will pass. If there was, it would have already been offered up. I'm a bit torn on the bill. If it passes then R's own government healthcare and the mess that it is becomes their mess. If it doesn't, then its clear Obamacare will only be replaced by Single-payer which I think will be an even bigger healthcare mess and a complete tax boondoggle.
