I'm not ignoring this Fox News lovefest thread. I've read the posts and have yet to see anything that contradicts my previous claims about what is occurring in Florida elementary schools.
For example, Corndog Meds' last post from Fox News dealt with a teacher in Virginia who has been charged with possessing child pornography. Who has ever claimed that there aren't people in all professions and all political parties who get arrested for possession of child pornography? His last post is nothing but a sick attempt at guilt by association and has nothing to do with my comments regarding the Florida Don't Say Gay Bill.

What things? Corndog Meds has posted a number of Fox News articles that give some (not all) details of sporadic incidents around the country. I can not accept an article from Fox News as being a final, complete and truthful source regarding these incidents. Just as I wouldn't accept a CNN article as being a final, complete and truthful source regarding these incidents.
Do I condemn individuals possessing child pornography? Absolutely. Do I believe just because one teacher is arrested for this, all teachers are guilty of it too? Absolutely not.
I condemn any action by a teacher (or any other professional) that is perverted, whether it be directed at a child or an adult. However, I don't believe providing a welcoming and non-discriminatory environment for LGBTQ students and families in public schools is a perverted action.
I haven't seen any evidence of anything inappropriate occuring in the teaching of K-3rd grade students in Florida that the Don't Say Gay Bill seeks to combat. As for the grades above this, what does the bill mean when it uses the very vague language of "age appropriate"? Therein lies part of the problem with the bill.
