Maybe I missed this in another thread. I was listening to the post match interview at Iowa State and Wyatt said he would be staying in Stillwater the next two to three years (?) to train for the Olympics. He said the Air Force gave him some leave time. He is a Second Lieutenant right now. Air Force did not grant wrestlers a 5th covid year (thank goodness for us).

He will be a member of the Army WCAP program.

So is he attached to Tinker, Vance, Altus, OSU ROTC as far as his Air Force service?

I believe I heard several weeks ago that he is officially assigned to Tinker AFB, but I no longer remember whether the person who said that was merely speculating on that topic or if he really knew the facts.

I’m surprised there is no ROTC program or something he can do to get his years in.

ROTC isn't really inline with what he has going on. Being a member (Cadet) of the OSU AFROTC leads to, upon completion, his current rank of Second Lieutenant, and he really doesn't have any actual military experience so his value as an instructor would be pretty limited.

I hope you're not suggesting that sticking pudgy fools wouldn't be valuable for cadets.

The whole point of WCAP is marketing the Armed Forces as a landing spot for elite athletes who can then further their athletic career at any RTC to gain national exposure for the Armed Forces. You can train and compete with a commission and accrue time in the service. That's something the Armed Forces wants every athlete to know.

I think Wyatt said on Dynasty Defined he’s gonna do an Olympic cycle with WCAP/Pokes Wrestling before transitioning to his actual Air Force career (believe he said he wants ti make a career of it). God only knows what kind of plane they’re supposed to fit him into, unless they just drop HIM from a bomber onto the bad guys
