Could anything gained via that giveaway be usable in charges? Seems like it would all be thrown out by an independent court based on Attorney-client privilege rules.
So, you don't care if Trump committed crimes as long as he can't be charged?
Choosing to violate constitutional protections in order to determine if maybe someone committed a crime is a sacrifice I'm not willing to bridge.
Then it seems that your concern should be whether or not Cohen faces charges from divulging said information.
I interpreted your post as suggesting that if Cohen shows proof of Trump committing crimes, you are hoping that Trump is protected from prosecution for said crimes because Cohen would be breaking Att/Client priv (which is not a "constitutional protection", unless I am mistaken).
Personally, I think it is important that our POTUS not commit crimes while in office. I'm not saying I believe Cohen (haven't watched any of his testimony today). But, if Trump broke the law, and Cohen has proof, I'm interested in hearing about it.
Cohen has been asked for proof many times and all he has is his word.
The other clients he has taped have no relation to Trump and he volunteered the recordings out of the blue.
I hope his attorneys had on depends, because I'm pretty sure they shit themselves when he made the offer

Here I disagree. If the only evidence you have that someone committed a crime is because you blackmailed the individual's lawyer for it, then you lack even proper cause to investigate in the first place. I'm against this regardless of party. I'd be against subpoenaing Charles Manson's lawyer to get details of the crimes he committed. Client-attorney privilege is a precedent and foundation required for a fair and just legal system and I refuse to support its dismantling just so one party can attack the other.
if Cohen had any info, from the boxes the fbi took to whatever lying crap he says today, it's nothing new. If he had anything he wouldn't be going to jail...they would have forgiven him for his good info...which he had none. Who as that sitting with Cohen...none other than Lanny Davis.
