American NeoCons have said they provoked the proxy war in Ukraine in order to weaken Russia by stretching it thin. But let’s think about it. We currently have 700+ military bases spread across the globe and a navy that can be found in any ocean, we just got out of a 20 year war and still have troops across the region. We’ve infuriated and been infuriated by our NATO ally, Turkey. We are involved in skirmishes in various parts of Africa. We supplied Saudi Arabia while it bombed Yemen. We provoked the war in Ukraine. We are involved in naval combat with the Houties (sp?). The North Korean dictator is threatening to attack us and our ally, South Korea. We are terrified China will move on Taiwan. We are financing the decimation of Gaza, and we have an insane Senator who demands we start bombing Iran. In the meantime Iran is partnering with Russia and China to create a formidable military alliance whose purpose is to counter our hegemony. BRICS had a recent snag in Argentina, but for the most part is making headway against our economic dominance. Our economy is teetering on the edge. So I ask this: who exactly are we spreading too thin?
