I liked the clip of Elon saying basically “my name is on it and basically he staked his reputation on drastic improvements”. Not an exact statement but close to the same sentiment

You must not pay attention to the local level. The amount of fraud, waste and abuse at the local level is off the charts, percentage wise. I have friends that are in local government and work for local government, the stories they tell will piss you off. Roads put in as favors to land owners, zoning, favors for campaign contributions, etc.
In one particular instance in our local community we had a Mayoral candidate that ran on the platform of rejecting a planned apartment complex in the community, while the other candidate was in favor. The candidate that opposed won the election in a landslide. In his first days in office he approved the apartment complex. Of course nothing happened as everyone was paid off to sweep it under the rug.
Obama came from Illinois, the guy Obama sold his seat to went to prison. Blagdovadich.
