Some info of potential recruits or HS wrestlers of interest. Some of these results have already been posted in other threads but are getting buried with other unrelated conversations.

@Doc Buchanan:
Villasenor, Cody Merrill and Coby Merrill have all dominated their way to the semis. Guerrero has also looked good getting to semis. From Bixby, Roller and Walker are in the semis and Giddens-Buttram lost in the quarters.

@Geary:
-Ayden Thomas is the semis and wrestles Michael Ruiz of Amarillo in that round. Ruiz is a Sophomore that just won the KC Stampede in fairly dominant fashion.
-The 120 brackets looks to have the challengers loaded into the top half of the bracket. Cash Donnel (ou signee) beat Stockton Allen in their first matches and will wrestle Devon Miller (Army commit) in the semis.
-McComas is in the semi-finals and will wrestle 3A runner up Kizer or Marlow
-@ 144 Schneider (Air Force signee) and Hickman (OSU commit) meet next.
-@ 157 Routeledge (Neb Commit) and Sommers (OU Signee) are on opposite sides and should meet in finals
-Lockett has 2 first period pins and does not appear to have much competition at his weight.
-@ 175 Talented Stillwater freshman, Jakoby Petree, has made the semis but gets OU signee Jude Randall next. Petree beat talented Shawn Rounsaville of Tuttle in the 2nd round.
-Gunner Wilson of BA (formerly from Catoosa) should meet up with Oscar Williams in the finals.

@Larry Wilkes in Jenks
Angelo Ferrari has roles into the finals where he will face Olguin of Westoore

@Doc B semifinals
-Villasenor with a MD
-Guerrero won 7-1
-Coby Merrill beat Cornell signee Cash Henderson and wrestles Columbia signee Platt in the finals
-Cody Merrill won with a 1st period fall. He wrestles #7 ranked and Ariz St commit, Sahakian, in the finals.

@Geary
-Ruiz won 113 with Ayden Thomas taking 3rd
-@120 Miller won the bracket. Stockton Allen exacted revenge on Donnell and then won a true 2nd match.
-McComas rolled through the 132 bracket with a 14-5 final win
-Schneider win 144 and Hickman won the true 2nd match.
-Routledge beat Sommer 4-3
-Locket finished 4-0 all by 1st period pin
-@175 Randall won the bracket. Petree forfeited after the loss to Randall to finish 6th
-Oscar Williams TF Gunnar Wilson.

I asked Coach Wilke if he had to be dead to have a tournament named after him. We decided if it were the Larry Wilke Memorial Tournament, THEN we should be concerned 😊

Sorry, seen it several times in this thread… isn’t it Larry Wilkey? He was my coach in middle school. He has to be in his mid to late 70s now?

Guerrero got screwed bad last night IMO. First off, he got called for stalling when he was actively (maybe slowly but wtf does that matter) working for a tilt. If ref doesn’t call that with :58 left he either gets back points or he likely rides the kid out. When they reset, the ref missed a caution on restart (announcer even said it) led to a funky scramble into a reversal to then tie it. Then also the back points for him to lose was the quickest two count you’ll ever see.
Also, not that it matters but the shot count going into the third was 5-1 Guerrero but no stalling the first two periods called on the other kid. But stalling for working towards a tilt. wtf.

He stood up and shook the kids hand. Could’ve easily been pissed and acted silly like a handful of other finals losers did so that was nice.
