Who says Canada would be 1 state? If you brought them in, you could potentially bring in each of the Provinces as its own state. WIth the appropriate gerrymandering, you could basically ensure Republican control of the Senate for the next 40 years.

I have family up in Alberta and 50+ Canadians on my social media page. I don't know a single Canuck that wants anything to do with this. In fact, since this tariff stuff began, they REALLY want nothing to do with any 51st state silliness.

Off the top of my head I can think of three American states whose houses and businesses are powered by electricity that is made in Canada. Does that count? Does the lumber made from Canadian timber used to build houses in America count? Do automobiles found in American garages partially built using Canadian steel count? Do appliances with Canadian aluminum components found in American kitchens count?

I have checked my house, most junk was made in China and has been replaced with better products but thats not always the case. We are forced to buy cheap made shit because people like you think its fair. Its not.
I think you are in error by saying you are “forced” to buy products you don’t want. No one is making you buy cheap foreign products. And you contradict yourself by saying you have replaced the cheap foreign products with higher quality (and higher priced) American made alternatives. Those higher quality products were available to you when you bought the cheap stuff. So you can’t say you bought the cheap stuff against your will. If you are convinced all foreign made products are cheap and poor quality you should consider adopting the policy of “Buyer Beware!”
