Thank god you are not in any type of leadership position, this country is already fvked enough with the people you voted for in charge.
Simple go back to Trumps sanction and strictly enforce them. The Iranian regime was struggling to maintain control until Biden saved them. Support Israel with military equipment, logistics and intelligence. Other than that just turn the Israelis lose give them the support they need and let them go after the Iranian leadership.

Both. I have family and friends that live in Iran, they want the regime gone. While they would suffer in the short term they are suffering now under a totalitarian regime and much prefer freedom.

History has proven that violence sometimes HAS TO trump violence.

I would counter by noting that what I'm speaking of is violence within the lawful context. The "unlawful exercise of physical force or intimidation" to arrive at a set goal (per Google's definition of violence under the context of the law) is the violence I'm speaking of.
For example, the Allies in WWII were justified in lawful violence against the Nazi Germany regime due to what that regime had already done and was doing (unlawful violence). Of course, one could argue that the aftermath of WWI helped create the environment for that regime but still, such violence in response was necessary and legal at the time.
I do not believe the same can be said for either side of the Palestine/Israel conflict. I readily admit that there are those on both sides who would disagree though. I think their reasoning though is faulty and only propagates further illegal violence.

I think Hamas expected Israel to hastily chase them back into Gaza. Probably wasn't the best expectation if they did. It looks like Israel is making moves to simply lay siege and bomb/starve them to surrender/death. I don't think Hamas was smart enough to realize all of Gaza is effectively an Israeli hostage.

If I may interject with my two cents (pun intended): I find it peculiar that @my_2cents recognizes the very real provocation that Hamas (and probably most of the Palestinian people) feel they have had to endure from the apartheid policies the Israeli government has made them endure to the point they invaded Israel in retaliation, but insists there were no NATO policies that caused Russia to invade Ukraine.
The quality of Palestinian life under Israeli rule has been nothing short of unbearable. That being said there is no justification - none! - for Hamas to attack in such a sadistic depraved satanic way, and even though any sane person should call for a cease fire, please stop killing each other, it is very understandable that the indignation the people of Israel feel will not allow it to go unpunished two times over. Here is the difference Dan. Ukraine is a sovereign country. Thus if they want to join NATO, that is their right. Russia doesn't get to dictate to Ukraine what Ukraine's alliances are allowed to be.
I would hold the same position for a sovereign Israel and Palestine. Both would enjoy the right to align with whoever they want to. Without being invaded by the other.
Same goes for the USA. No other country dictates to us whom we form alliances with. And no other country invades us to force their will upon us.
