Is he achieving his desired effect?

While I like a lot of what he is getting accomplished I see him as a terrible leader. Much of that personal perspective has to do with his work on Twitter. His statements have been at times divisive and he often comes across as childish in his rhetoric.

I often wince when I upon chance run across his latest tweet.

Most of the time I try to ignore his Twitter game because as a convicted conservative I'm tired of cringing.

Is that his desired effect or does he want liberals running around screaming and wringing their hands over the latest Twitter outrage while he makes a 4D chess policy move under cover?

I hate his twitter game and it predisposes me to doubt every policy initiative he attempts to get going. I fight that predisposition to fairly and logically evaluate actual work done.

It seems so unnecessary at this point. He has his base that hang on his every word as gospel. They’re not going anywhere. Still...I can’t help but read it.

The answer comes in November. What’s the balance of making your base excited you talk like them versus people that only cast their vote for him because of their disdain for Hillary? Is he winning anyone over? We will see and I will be immediately ready to skewer him when he lets liberals right back into the game.

It is interesting that his strongest proponents try to reason that his Twitter game fits into their internet created 4D chess paradigm.

Truth is, he's just being rude and divisive.

Now if you're not interested in being POTUS and want to play internet troll -- it's perfectly acceptable. But he's the POTUS.

Though Obama didn't tweet, and wasn't nearly as blunt as Trump, I'm not sure he was any more interested in bringing the nation together.

I don’t think anyone wishes he wouldnt use it, just that he would use it to his actual advantage. Making the people who are already going to vote for you laugh is his current plan. How does that keep liberals out of office and out of my life?
