No, just rolling with the trends. So you're saying it's a lifestyle biz. Joe Rogan being the best example no doubt.

And, to be clear, family offices don't do lifestyle businesses. They are the same as institutional investors, just with only one client. So you're saying it's a lifestyle biz. Joe Rogan being the best example no doubt.
So profit in other words.
Why doesn't Fox or OAN snap up all that profit that is there for the taking and put on a conservative late night host on?
He's a kook.I mean look at Alex Jones and his loyal following. Those folk figuratively and literally buy anything he is selling.
Maybe they've already decided the culture war that you're fighting is over and they wouldn't increase the eyeballs on their shows or advertising dollars by continuing to fight it for you.so naive.
Market trends? No, just rolling with the trends.
Oh so no problem thenWe do. If you would put it on FNC at 10 pm each night, Gutfeld! Is destroying in ratings against the other cable news programs at that time slot and very competitive with the Fallons, Kimmels, and num nuts on CBS. Check it out.
Sounds like he's got that demographic on lockdown and the Big 3 don't see much money to be gained from sacrificing some of their demographic to compete against such a powerhouse. We do. "Market" is a broad term. But sure, financial, legal, political, social - all trends. Perhaps corporate America sees a tremendous upside potential in terms of a product market, but right now the risk of engaging in that market is too high compared to the potential rewards. Will it shift at some time? Maybe. A client of mine was considering the name for a business they were buying and although a particular name was ideal in their view, it could be abbreviated to something similar to MAGA. Despite that tenuous connection, it was enough to use a different name.Market trends?
Sure seem to be.
Quit making excuses.if I didn’t have a family I would already be a ghetto rush Limbaugh.
Yes. I understand that. I was being sarcastic. And, to be clear, family offices don't do lifestyle businesses. They are the same as institutional investors, just with only one client.
He is. If he were just a little bit more reliable he could make a decent living, but as it stands he is just too damn risky for someone to bring him on a real platform. He's a kook.
I think what JD is saying is they think losing that large of a market share is worth not getting backlash for not playing the woke game. Frankly I’m surprised by that thought process as it seems the olds are the only people that haven’t already cut the cord. Probably why Fox is still killing it.They all avg ~350K viewers
The Tonight Show went from 3.5MM in 2015-16 to 430K in the most recent.
It’s obviously about the free market and market share.
you don't need a cord to watch the tonight showI think what JD is saying is they think losing that large of a market share is worth not getting backlash for not playing the woke game. Is there a point you aren’t capable of missing?you don't need a cord to watch the tonight show
Sorry I get bored with banality and skip to the fact checkingIs there a point you aren’t capable of missing?
Because you can doesn’t mean you will. There is a reason we left cable.Sorry I get bored with banality and skip to the fact checking

In their view it appears to be the latter.Which hurts them more, the backlash from them being woke or fear of not pleasing the woke?

If they want to run it into the ground that’s their prerogative.20 > 80

Well that's the economic, market-based decision they have to determine for themselves....isn't it.
Which is exactly my point.
Yeah it was.No it wasn’t.
Why? That was their free market decision no matter how stupid I might think it is.So we can remove market share and free market from the discussion.
Neither were a consideration, obviously.
Why? That was their free market decision no matter how stupid I might think it is.
lolIf tthe free market made the decision, the message would’ve changed.
Instead the parent company decided the message was the most important thing.
Yeah it was.
Not my problem you aren't smart enough to realize that.
You generally have much better (not great, but better) self-awareness. Are you feeling OK?That’s funny.
Mainly because of what it says about you.
