JimmyBob, I don’t hate Israel and I don’t hate Jews and I certainly don’t hate you just because we disagree.
JimmyBob and I are roughly the same age, come from the same generation and have experienced many of the same experiences. I respect him for that. We’re both too old to get into pissing matches just because we disagree about something over which neither of us has any say.

Canada has allowed and encouraged millions of people to immigrate into Canada since 2020. Unfortunately those people were not immigrating to Canada to stay in Canada, they were entering Canada to easily and illegally enter the US. Many of those immigrating to Canada and then illegally entering the US were brought in by smugglers who advertise illegal crossings on the internet, offering services such as visas, airfare, and border-jumping services with the full blessing of the Canadian government. You might ask how I know this, some of my step fathers family used some of these services to immigrate to Canada from Iran with the hopes of eventually being able to legally enter the US. In other words Dan the Canadian government is helping people illegally enter the US. Same with Mexico only worse. That has to stop and can not be allowed.
Couldn’t agree with you more that illegal immigration needs to be stopped and should not be allowed. I’m not sure making life and trade harder on American citizens is the way to go about it. I do appreciate that you read one of the links at least to the point you could find something to trigger you into heart palpitations severe enough to make you stop.
How do you stop illegal immigration if the countries that border your country are helping facilitate illegal immigration and refuse to do anything to stop it? The old way of our government bowing down to what amounts to extortion is no longer an option with our country damn near 40 trillion in debt and a couple of hundred trillion in future obligations. Trump tried telling these countries to do something about the illegal immigration, they played lip service to it hoping Trump was bluffing. Now they are about to find out he's serious and willing to accept a small amount of pain on our side while inflicting severe pain on their side. Leftist never learn until they experience the consequences of their policies, this is just another example. My hope is both Mexico and Canada will agree to help secure both borders and this can all be avoided but if they don't I'm more than willing to accept a little pain until they do. Nothing worth doing is ever easy nor void of sacrifice.
