Show me somewhere in this thread where I’ve said I’m fine with the crap Megan Rapinoe pulled. I’m not “fine” with it. Mostly I don’t care. But also I don’t hate her. Rush Limbaugh used to say “the settlers take the arrows.” Rapinoe made her bones fighting for equal pay. She was the “settler” that willingly took the arrows because she thought her fight was justified. (I have no idea who was right on that issue.). And she obviously liked the attention because she, IMO, went off the deep end in an addictive quest to stay in the public eye. And she dragged her team through the mud with her. But by 2023 her teammates were tiring of her antics. Yet too many people have decided to hate the whole team because they hate her and they projected their hate team-wide. There is a new generation of player entering the pipeline. It will be interesting to see where they take the team.
