It was nothing more than a lazy attempt to explain socio-economic differences among racial groups. It then became tailored to politics which is where we are today. It is incorrect IMO. It's almost like you can't acknowledge racism without the ability to point your finger at a specific boogeyman.

The closest I would come to making these types of generalizations is it isn't common for sustained experience to create a "nose blindness" to one's own privilege. You don't see it as racist that more people of color are in prison for drug dealing despite a relatively even distribution of drug use and dealing across racial and economic demographics. Higher wealth correlating to lower rates of prosecution, less harsh sentencing, etc - is an example of systemic discrimination.

If we substituted "discrimination" for "racism" would that make you feel better? All lives matter #amiright? Does "white fragility" also cause you discomfort? I know it triggers Harry. I'll try to control the steady stream of microaggressions going forward.
