Im shocked given past history there hasn't been a statement from the AD, chancellor or president. This is kind've above head coach level now. A statement saying "we are aware of the allegations and cooperating with the investigation" seems required at this stage.
I would be absolutely shocked if anything happens to Cael.
If the story is picked up by national news outlets he will feel a little heat but he's not going anywhere is my opinion
He’d have to be caught on video or in writing saying “Yeah, Carter is a pervert but he wins so let’s sweep this under the rug.” Anything short of that and this is nowhere near enough of a “scandal” to impact his job.
I don’t think we hear from them until it’s on ESPN’s website as a story. While those plugged into wrestling will think this is a big story worthy of a statement, no one else is really paying attention yet. If PSU makes a statement, then a lot more people will start to ask questions than are right now. Not saying it’s right, but they’re betting on it never reaching the masses right now and they aren’t going to be the ones to raise the story to that level.

And I know who my first call would be if this played out and DT returned to Happy Valley. It is decent fodder when there is nothing else to talk about, but I'd be surprised if Cael got the boot.
That said, I do see two things working against Cael: (1) PSU is probably more sensitive and trigger happy on this sort of deal due to the Sandusky thing; and (2) wrestling isn't important enough to jeopardize the entire university's reputation.
Idk not sure he's been a head coach long enough for that call. Also if something happens the Penn St admin may want a completely clean start with no one with ties to the ... can we call it the 'petro era.' Perhaps they'd go JB or KD?
Look they were pretty upset that setting all those records at NCAAs didn’t get more attention. So Cael set this all up and then sent out his fans to post on all the boards dozens of times a day to humanize the program and create a comeback story. None of these events actually happened, just Cael masterminding as always. Makes sense to me!
