SIAP- “B12 “required” to have SJ messages”

Believe it or not 77, the only place you hear such outrage about social justice issues is in conservative media, where there is a boogie man behind every tree unless the orange man says there isn’t any.

Faux outrage or just ginning up the base some more? Just can’t take the movement and the MAJORITY of those in it at face value, Seeking the same rights as other Americans, race, gender, age, et al.

Let me guess, your in academia?

Allowing something to be done and forced compliance are very different things and the latter is being discussed ITT

I’m assuming no one in this conference is against equal treatment for all Americans. Show me any conference member and their leadership that isn’t in agreement with the social justice display being discussed. Therefore, it is an agreed upon statement not something compelled with detractors.

And if some player in the conference is against wearing something on his or her uniform?

You left out the movement to normalize pedophilia. You're welcome.

He may not have anything on his unless it’s on all of them. It depends if we are allowing individual statements or no statements or team statements only on uniforms.

He can choose not to suit up if he feels that strongly about it or go into the transfer portal to a league that has no such statements on their uniforms.

I doubt we have any that object and are that I-me about it but if we do he does have options.

This movement is not aimed at all Americans, what a crock of shit. I mean a sport announcer was fired over saying all lives matter.

How in the phuck if you do not want to do this can you speak up when they know idiots like you will yell racist if you do not participate in this mandate? You do know you can choose to stay neutral in order to support all lives and all the population by not getting involved in what IS a highly politicized and racially charged environment?

That does not make you racist, nor does it mean you do not support AA’s. You do understand financial consequences exist here as well during a time frame in which cuts were just taken? And how in the phuck do you know what all the schools think? You seriously so naive that you believe anyone would honestly vote no if that is what they believe? The Dims have done a great job of cutting the balls off administrators and politicians all across this country in fear of being called a racist. Look at Portland.

Let’s get on board with all lives matter. Go read the BLM website that wants to do away with the family as western civilization knows it and for kids to be raised by the “village”. It is right there. That is socialism, and Marxist methods are being used to achieve it. Founder on tape saying they are trained Marxists. Force people to do things they do not want to do in fear of being labeled even if the label does not fit.

Again, are you in academia? If so, explains ALOT.

Figure the deviant stuff would be on Conservative media too. Faux outrage or ginning the base? Got to keep the Fallwell types interested I guess.

And this is a perfect example of why compelled speech is always wrong.

53 people, 10 dead, were shot in Chicago over the weekend. One an eight year old girl. She marks the 6th child under the age of 10 to be shot and killed in Chicago since this summer.

Where are the “peaceful” protests? Why isn’t the NBA postponing the playoffs in a stance against the murder of children in one of its proudest NBA cities? Surely some MLB teams will be walking off the field this week.

Nah. Let’s honor the criminals. The pedophiles and the rapists who played stupid games and won stupid prizes. Those are the names we should care about.

Give me a ****ing break.
No shit. This whole BLM is a crock.

I highly doubt the players will have major issues with any of what’s being discussed.

Not even part of the debate. The issue is that you guys are OK punishing fellow Americans if they don't toe the line to your specific political viewpoints.

It's scary that this is even being talked about concerning OSU football and that some might actually support it

Agreed upon by whom? And what is the message everybody agreed on?

The league teams Jeff. The Big Twelve Conference member institutions. I believe Bowlsby was going to allow each institution to determine what scope and what statements would be used.

Who said anything about punishing anyone?

Are we talking about society at large or Big 12 football? You’re the one implying Big 12 football players will get kicked to the curb for not wanting something on the front of their jersey.

“You guys?” Me? Wear your red hat. I don’t care. Hell, our whole OL could have MAGA embroidered on the front of their jerseys and I wouldn't care.

You would care if Gundy, Holder,or the Big 12 required them to wear MAGA on their jerseys. Can't you see the difference?

Are you... upset about the anti-racism campaign?

The anti-racism campaign (in the least racist country in the history of planet Earth) is a diabolical creation of Satan designed to destroy this country. I oppose all fake anti racist campaigns as the Marxist revolts they are. Classism didn't work for the Marxists, they now are working race instead of class.

Turn off conservative media and things aren’t nearly so bad SMDH! You guys get fed this BS 24-7-365 because you let the conspiracy baiters on Fox News color your world and jazz you up as they report ONLY the negative conspiracies surrounding the BLM Movement and the narrative they push to their base. CHANGE THE DAMN CHANNEL every once in a while and find out social justice efforts in MANY areas of the country are peaceful and just trying to help ensure all citizens have the right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness! No Marxist takeover, no Antifa riots all over the country, just people of all colors and creeds asking for equal treatment under the law for all citizens because MOST Americans are in favor of it and don’t think continued discrimination should be tolerated in the 21st century.

Best country that does MORE for MORE people than any other country. Washington started freeing the slaves (that was our first Prez since you know no history) and by the time Jefferson roles around ALL slaves were freed or Had been ordered to be. Get that- USA made laws AGAINST slavery and the MANY MANY WHITES died fighting against slavery but you shallow people just like casting prejudices - shame. Want to fight for something good tell your shallow friends how America FREED the slaves and how we need to all get along.

It's one of the few places you can actually hear the truth about the fraudulent movement that BLM is. Your side of it is like a worn out old cliche repeated so often that you actually believe it's 1965. Kinda creepy how delusional y'all are. It's more like a parody of a real movement.

Liberals, and in particular white liberals, are bigots. It really is that simple.

100%.

White “progressives” may be the dumbest cohort of people ever in this country.

BLM has nothing to do with Black Lives. Go read their mission statement on the website under the "What We Believe" tab. However, it's accomplishing what it was meant to, which is to divide. It's just a Marxist movement dressed up in the Black Lives Matter suit. Defunding police and abolishing prisons are insane demands . It's not a coincidence BLM and Antifa fools show up together. It's a coordinated effort. This whole thing is PR for the Marxist movement, supported by useful dupes because the "cause" sounds just.

So the Big Twelve shouldn’t participate in social justice awareness when 60-70% of their players are people of color?

I think you’re missing the point. If 60-70% (probably a fair number) are people of color and probably a good majority of the white players also either support their cause or at the very least their teammates then why feel the need to require it? Why not do it like the NBA where they allow SJ messages on their jerseys of their choosing (approval pending of course to keep it decent) or at least the team’s choosing? If they don’t want to do it, it’s not like they’re putting a burning cross on their jersey. Just let them have nothing or just their last name and it just means they want to just play football and not make a statement either way. That’s ok. In my opinion actions are more meaningful when it’s a person’s own decision instead of someone being forced to. Then it can be hollow sometimes.

I received some guidance today. Bowlsby is just the mouthpiece for all of this. This decision falls back to the chancellors, presidents, and /or Boards of Regents of the respective institutions. If you want to boo someone, pick up the phone and call Burns Hargis and tell him what you think.
The Chancellors, Presidents, BOR and ADs have balls of a Eunuch.

Nobody kills minorities on the level of Planned Parenthood. What do you think the chances are of a pro-life player getting to put something on his uniform in social protest?
The Big 12 said they would only allow patches and slogans they approve to be on uniforms. It's virtually guaranteed that no Crosses, Stars of David, Abortion Kills or similar patches will be allowed on the uniforms. But, what do you expect from institutions teaching this bullshit to their students from the first grade?

I thought the Big 12 is an athletic conference, not a social justice group formed to use its profits to further the political goals of a select segment of the population.
If the Big 12 is a tax-exempt organization, are they even allowed to participate in political activities?

This was the last straw for me....I'm done with all of it for good but will still give OSU some latitude. A year or two of this continued nonsense though and I'm done with OSU sports as well. It is astonishingly ironic that people who love sports allow people who hate sports to destroy sports.

My understanding is that there will also be sponsored SJ messages on the scrolls around the stadium, how tone deaf can these idiots be?

The league teams Jeff. The Big Twelve Conference member institutions. I believe Bowlsby was going to allow each institution to determine what scope and what statements would be used.
Wrong. The Big 12, in compliance with the NCAA, will have veto power over what can be placed on the uniforms. You can bet your ass that "team compliance and unity" is being actively pushed by the universities. I seriously doubt any player could dress for a game if they insisted on a BLM patch with a red circle and line through it.

If the Big 12 is a tax-exempt organization, are they even allowed to participate in political activities?

That is a good question. The IRS is very clear about preferring you not to be involved in lobbying activities and you are best to not even do it, just stay away. I would say that IMO this does not meet the exempt org’s purpose, but it also is not creating unrelated business income that could be taxable and that issue would be raised if you were profiting from unrelated business activities, so they would not get involved IMO.

However, does not mean some think it is wrong. Anytime you are a public trust operating off state dollars and enjoying exemption from Federal taxation IMO it is a bad look to get politically involved. Now, if your exempt org purpose is to further AA causes? Different deal.

So I would estimate probably 75% of the osu fan base are conservatives. Conservative support for law enforcement is extremely strong. The blm movement states things like defund the police, fry pig fry, and many other insane statements. So we have to watch them disrespect law enforcement and our country through a false flag movement. Who the heck would pay to watch or support that?

Maybe so many blacks should stop giving racists so much shit to talk about. Put Colin Flaherty out of work.

If black lives mattered, if anyone really cared we would have busses and helicopters getting women and children out of about 20-30 communities in this country. 5 presidents, dozens of governors and hundreds of mayors have failed these people. Now, because of tds they get exploited to oust the only president who has shown through action he cared about them.

What is the reward for black communities? Hero’s out of their worst citizens. No cash bail which only hurts the poor communities these criminals operate in. Not asking the national guard to save their communities from private school whites burning it down. The only people guilty of systemic racism is the left. The kkk has been furloughed because the media pushes the narrative that divides and isolates even further.

Sweet blm sticker Chuba. If I catch you living in a mansion or driving anything more expensive than a Honda Accord then we both know that you are a fraud just like Jesse and al and all the others who profit off black suffering.
