Ron Lemon passed away March 3rd. For those who did not know him he was responsible for many of the Oklahoma State National Champions and All-Americans in the past 40-50 years. He was a nationally renowned wrestling recruiter for Oklahoma State serving under first Myron Roderick and he was a recruiter for 4 Oklahoma State coaches. There is a graveside service today in Stillwater at 2 pm at Fairlawn Cemetery.
Ron also had a son, Randy Lemon and grandson Lincoln Lemon wrestling for Oklahoma State and Lincoln is currently wrestling. He was a great recruiter and had a unique ability to scout talent. He will be greatly missed.
May he rest in Eternal Peace and let perpetual life shine upon him.

What was his official job in Stillwater? He wasn't actually employed by the university was he? I remember he coached in 14 and under baseball with Rocky his assistant and his nephew on the team. He reminded me of the coach of the Yankees in the original Bad News Bears with the mustache and trying to get his team to train year round.

Funny story about his son Randy....he was like mid twenties but looked 40 because he was bald. Nobody knew he'd wrestled for OSU like 8 years before and he came out ln these worn out shorts, shoes and shirt looking like some homeless guy and all the Greeks were like "who is this guy? He's a Beta?" He proceeded to destroy the competition for the Beta House and won the championship. He loved having the opportunity to do that. I remember the Lemons, Cathys and DuPrees were all related somehow too....some pretty established Stillwater/OSU families.
