While I understand the 'outrage' of the OP, I would note that our office has the same policy. Women can wear skirts. Men wear slacks. I assume to be 'fair' a man could choose to wear a skirt. But noone is allowed shorts.

The thought of free balling it in a skirt is something I can totally get my head around.
