DT can’t be happy with 7 guys tonight. That was an off performance for a few guys. Maybe the team caught a bug. It happens.
Neil does a great job though!
Little Rock played good defense too.
Brennan v Hamiti was an absolute stall fest. Was so frustrating to watch.
I did not watch the dual and so appreciate this thread. I will just say the scores of our matches are very disappointing. Based on scores Spratley, Surber and Hendrickson wrestled good. The rest wrestled either okay or poor. If we are going to beat Iowa, we better wrestle way better than this.
I’m really concerned with where Young is at.
Reece we know what we are getting with him. He isn’t top 10 but I could see blood round. Could also see 1-2 or 2-2. Wish Hughes had worked out. My point is don’t overthink him losing to a really good opponent.
Fish, I just don’t like the decision we made to ride the second. Put Fish on his feet. Have him at blood round also right now.
Plott to me has looked off the last month. Idk. Just not as dominant or something. Still doing well though.
Nah, Reece is going to Greco his way to the semis!
Carter will hopefully get the confidence to finish his shots…it is maddening right now.
Fish, I think he surprises people in March. His results are checkered and I think he’s sneaky.
Ya the fall today sucked but it doesn’t change how I feel about him. I still have him fringe AA and I think he does way more work on the backside depending on upsets but I like what I’ve seen the last month.

Has 133 officially been decided? Think I’d let Hughes go at Iowa. I think both wrestlers are the same but Hughes has more upside since he has 3 more years of eligibility. Who knows? Neither has been very impressive. Honestly at this point anything better than 0-2 is bonus at this point.
Carter got screwed in his match. He shot 6 times and the ref didn’t call one stall. Unfortunately Carter is losing matches at this point, not getting beat. He is aggressive but just never finishes. Is he done after this season? Someone said that, his mother said he will be back next year. Hate it for the kid but he needs to force the issue and finish his takedowns.
Fish getting pinned was a bit shocking. I think UALR is better than a lot of people think but they were obviously wanting to win for their coach.
Other than CKLV, we haven’t looked very good on the road this season. I’m not very confident going into Carver. I think we win 4 matches for sure, probably 5. We need upsets and bonus points.
Full disclaimer: I was unable to watch due to familial obligations. Skimming y’all’s reactions and liking at the score, I think UALR is a well-coached team who came in wanting to make a statement, and OSU had some (a lot?) of guys who were unprepared for whatever reason. Maybe they got hit by the flu that’s running through all of Oklahoma, maybe they were looking ahead to Iowa. Whatever it was, it was a far cry from their Mizzou performance. That crap won’t fly in Iowa City, so whatever it is I hope it’s now out of their system.
I would like to see Wyatt's match. I followed the match via FB live. Things moved so fast it was crazy. I love this guy. Mauler who comes after his opponent and makes them like it. He needs to move over to OL room and toughen up some of the guys.
I’m not sure but Reece has been given the nod 3 duals in a row now with 1 left. Seems to me it’s him.
I told someone else he accidentally teched him. I’m sure if he could’ve he wouldn't have stopped until he got it haha

Great dual, I’m happy for UALR and Erisman. He genuinely seems like a great guy. With Williams on the team, they have an outside chance to place top 10 this year. Little, Bailey, Smaller Bianchi are VERY GOOD wrestlers. Broke an attendance record, over 2k in attendance, seems like a 60/40 crowd for UALR, great for them.
Thought we could’ve MD with Hamiti, Jamison and Plott, we seemed very flat and conservative. Surber’s match was very good, was an exciting match.
Young and Fish’s matches were essentially toss ups, and Surber.
Good one, felt like we should’ve won Fish or Young’s and really put a stamp but overall, great day! Happy I got to watch!

We knew they were going to give us all thy had. Record crowd for them. Teams coached by our Alums always have a bit of a chip if you will. It's expected.
You can't discount the fact that sometimes, especially in these situations. they wrestle a little above their heads. Its not that we were wrestling bad in Amine, Hamiti, Plott matches. They all got it done, period.
We knew, Young/Wiliiams was a tossup. It went their way this time. Neutral site may be a different outcome. Agree that Carter has got to finish those shots though.
Certainly not a sky is falling performance in my opinion. I like our chances in Iowa. And thats just it....they are all chances.
Hope we make the most of them when it counts the most!!

Really happy for Luke, he’s having a great season. If he can pull out a win in Iowa, that would be an exceptional regular season. Win Big 12’s, should get a good seed and has a chance to be right in the thick of a 197 lb title shot. After the injuries he dealt with last season, glad he has persevered and taken things to a new level this year.
