My daughter was under contract with the US government as a paralegal investigating and bringing legal cases against people who defrauded the PPP loan program. The fraud she described was mind blowing. Of course Biden came in and shut the program down allowing billions of dollars in fraud to go unpunished.
I don't think it is unfair or unreasonable to question Musk's motivation. There is a lot of potential conflict of interest there. I don't buy that he is doing it "out of the kindness of his own heart." Some of his recommendations (firing people he has been penalized by) certainly seem more personal. Find and rid all the waste possible while not throwing the baby out with the bathwater, and I am in full support. I don't necessarily trust him, though.
