Spratley Wins with a takedown in overtime but sure makes it hard on himself with these penalty points. Cael Hughes wins by decision but does not finish the 3rd period well in this match and the finals at Michigan State after being good in the 1st 2 periods. I don't know if he shuts down some or the weight cut is involved. Solid win by major for Jamison and he got 3 impressive takedowns. Carter looked good on his feet and got a major. His opponent shot several times and Carter was not there and went around for a takedown. Teague got beat in overtime by losing a scramble takedown. Travis got in on a lot of shots but only finished 1. Our better wrestlers are coming up.
Travis has to be able to convert one of those single legs. No business losing that match.
total desperation scrambles all match but it worked out for him. Travis had a leg at least 5 times
A few competitive matches so far at 125 and 157. Renteria and Stiles are both solid guys . I can see Travis winning that one next time

1: Menke on first leg but Cam fights him off. Amine puts him on his back! 7-0 lead! Quick escape on restart. 7-1.
2: Amine down. Gets a reverse. 9-1. Cuts him after 30. 9-2. Snap down/go behind by amine, but they go off. Maybe shoulda been a caution on guy running OOB.
3: Menke down. Restart with 59 seconds of RT. Amine cuts after a minute. 9-3. 1:30 left. Some good action by both guys. Alone gets a leg but loses it. Gets an other leg, but OOB. Snap down and score with 8 seconds! 13-3!

Amine gets the late takedown for the major. A 7 point move decided the match early. Hamiti is so smooth, and the tech seemed so easy for him. Quite the addition for the Cowboys.
Hamiti is really good, he just looks so smooth out there.

1: McDonnell with the Hugh crotch and TD 👀 hard mat return. 0-3. Plott gets out 1-3 get a leg but McDonnell rolls through and grabs an ankle. Plott able to maneuver to the TD. 4-3. Ride sa bit before letting him up. 4-4. Quick double by Plott. 7-4 rides him out.
2: Plott down. Out fairly quick. 8-4. Snap down to a single by Plott. Another ankle grab by McDonnell, another TD by Plott. 11-4. McDonnell out. 11-5, another TD by Plott. 14-5. Rides him out.

Big win by Surber. I will admit. I was dead wrong about him heading into the year. A healthy Surber is a deadly Surber.

That’s why I picked Surber but much like Travis, you in on legs that many times you have to convert at least 1
Plott did not start when the match started and gave up a quick takedown. However, it was all Plott after that and he got a tech. Surber looked very good with a takedown and ride out in the first period. He got an escape and Munoz did not score 1 point and Plott won 5 to 0. Surber was literally in control the whole match. Hendrickson with the tech fall at Hwt wrestling a small but game opponent.
I think so, it didn’t look out of place when he hit it
Probably so, but he’s already had a very competitive match against Buchanan this season so still a great win for Surber
The positions he puts himself in when defending TDs is one of the reasons he's always hurt.
But yeah, if he's healthy, he's gonna be a problem for the 197 class. He deserves a year being injury-free.
@MALOS may have been onto something with his Hamiti take. I initially took it as a bit of a diss on Plott, but now I’m realizing Hamiti may just be that good. Why the hell didn’t Wisconsin let him go 174 last year??
