Non Sports: George Bush is drunk

How inappropriate this is. Michelle is very uncomfortable. Bush is dancing DURING a funeral. Everyone else looks very rigid and embarrassed. Very, Very sad.

Cheeks are flush, inappropriate behavior, people are embarrassed. This is like his old days in the 80's, just on a much bigger stage. Needs another intervention

At least Nixon used to wait until after hours to get loaded. This is unbelievable.

I think he may be drunk. In his defense, it is Tuesday.

Thinking brt may be the drunk one here. Dub is a true American that's all. Pretty good drunk speech by him if so.

First impression is that something is off with him in that video. That's behavior of somebody not fully aware of his surroundings. That's not to say he's not a patriot or Christian or anything. That's not the argument.

Going back to the one time he was able to go out to speak on behalf of his brother in the presidential primary it was clear something was changed with him. That was several months ago. He wasn't speaking clearly and was very plodding with his speech patterns. I was shocked that there wasn't some huge national story on it. I don't know if he has medical issues, takes medications with side effects, or has substance/alcohol issues. Something is up though. He is 70 but there is something there other than natural aging. During the primary his people issued a counter intuitive statement of why it was so hard to be able to go campaign. Anyway, before this deal today I was fully convinced he has health issues of some sort. Today didn't do anything to dispel it.

Watch the First Lady's left hand. She is punching the President as if: Can you believe this??

almost looks like his face is drooping on the left side...stroke maybe? I have to confess didn't watch the speech though and after seeing that the a-hole-in chef mention himself 45 times during his talk glad I missed it.

Imagine if Obama acted the exact same way.

Or, imagine if Obama was chit chatting irreverently during the same damn song....the song that inspired an army to free the slaves....just imagine. 3:24 or so is where the horror begins.

Seems raging drunk here:

Damn good speech. The man understands what is important, and whether you agree with the Iraq decision or not, he was always consistent in seeing, expecting, and promoting the best in others.

And it's a tragedy of almost Shakespearean proportions that President Obama, with history presenting him the framing to do IMMEASURABLE good, is a small, decisive leader in comparison.

@brtinla when you look at the entirety of context, you couldn't be more wrong in your assessment. You could try, but you would not be successful.

What does anyone expect? Of course he acts like a fool, he's a fool. Always has been. He has a head full of brown hair, too... at 70. Remember him creeping out the female heads of state? I think he tried to rub Merkel's (or some female's) shoulders and they cringed in horror. He literally doesn't know how to act -- he's that dull witted. He may or may not be drunk, nothing is surprising with him.

He should go back to painting shower faucets.

How many Americans did he kill with war mongering illegal drones lazy lying liberal @syskatine. Maybe you and @Clinton Scott could go have a camp fire and sing songs of how everyone needs more breast milk and holding of hands.

I am impressed that Michelle was able to hold off on texting during the ceremony and that BHO even bothered to attend

I try to not dislike anyone, but you are really testing my faith. Say what you want about his politics, but Bush is a good man in his heart. Calling him a fool is just wrong.

I hate Obama's politics, but I do believe he is a good husband and father.

Why do you feel the need to call people names?

Because he's not a good man in his heart. He lied to start an unnecessary war, and wasted fortunes, got many good people killed, destabilized the middle east and embarrassed the country in the eyes of the world. He acts the part and mentions Jesus, but that doesn't make him a good man.

He may treat his kids and friends well (Luke 6: 32-33, since your faith is so tested) but that doesn't make him a good man. Please tell me a more awful deed than starting an unnecessary war.

Every serious study of the facts has concluded that Bush (and Blair), in fact did not lie to get us into Iraq. What is indisputable is that we are in a worse position NOW in Iraq than when Obama took office and years after he and Biden declared Iraq one of the greatest accomplishments of the Obama administration, then ignored every bit of advice and warnings from the military and drew down the force in Iraq to a level way beyond what they should've been.

First, you're wrong. Second, wtf is a "study" needed for? The whole SOTU speech/yellowcake/Joseph Wilson thing was real time. I remember it. Third, he and Cheney were wanting to start a war with Iraq even before 911. The yellowcake/mushroom cloud shit was known as unreliable even before his speech. Or can we not trust O'Neill, who said that how Iraq would be invaded was the topic of the first cabinet meeting.
