No way he does that. It will be a gauntlet next year with Mac, Ferrari, Welsh, Ryder at the top.
It ain't about the competition. He's cutting too much. That's why he keeps gassing.

CC going to hit a 3rd school? I forgot he already left Iowa State earlier in the year.
Wonder if he goes back home to Illinois?CC going to hit a 3rd school? I forgot he already left Iowa State earlier in the year.
I was on the Hawkeye board this morning and it was a true roller coaster. There are some pretty good posters on that board as well. There are some not so good ones. The Ayala v Byrd matcha never did stop being analyzed. But, it’s not all badAs an outsider who reads and posts on the Iowa and PSU board, I think this is the most respectful and classiest board out there. Everyone seems welcome and the hard core OSU fans do not insult fans from other sites or teams.
However, I also know more than all the coaches in all the sports. I just don't brag about it, although it is nice to be around others who are in the same boat of knowing more than the coaches. Maybe that is why I like this board so much. ;-)
Maybe we should try for CC and AJ. What’s the worse that could happen (said right before everything goes boom).CC going to hit a 3rd school? I forgot he already left Iowa State earlier in the year.
He also think AJ will be a Cyclone. Here's his post from the Intermat board:Willie said that he has heard Oklahoma State, Michigan, and UNC for Facundo.
That would make sense with Perry at ISU.He also think AJ will be a Cyclone. Here's his post from the Intermat board:

ISU is just an informed guess for AJ
also heard Michigan, OKST, and UNC for Facundo
and don't be surprised if Byrd leaves Illinois.
David Szuba is probably leaving Rider. and perhaps Isaac Dean as well .
Joel Adams will be at Oregon St.
AJ coming in could also could be part of why Carroll isn't returning to ISUThat would make sense with Perry at ISU.
Did Carrol have a mental breakdown or what happened?AJ coming in could also could be part of why Carroll isn't returning to ISU
I don't think any specifics have been mentioned, just vague things about personal stuff. I did see one post that also noted that the circumstances weren't his faultDid Carrol have a mental breakdown or what happened?
I don’t think the guy can pull to 197 long term. He looked absolutly drawn out. Stupidest thing in college wrestling is not having a 215 pound weight class. To force natural 210 to 225 pound guys to wrestle monsters or hate life due to cutting to 197 is dumb.I don't think any specifics have been mentioned, just vague things about personal stuff. I would prefer a simple add and we go to 11 but if that isn’t an option I would like to do 125 - 136 - 146 - 157. Let’s smaller 141s consider a cut and doesn’t for all 149s to jump to 157.Stupidest thing in college wrestling is not having a 215 pound weight class
I wonder if AJ actually goes to Iowa State, if that means Chittum will transfer out.He also think AJ will be a Cyclone. Here's his post from the Intermat board:

So, how about 10 pound weight class differences? Or is 10 too much in-between?I would prefer a simple add and we go to 11 but if that isn’t an option I would like to do 125 - 136 - 146 - 157. Let’s smaller 141s consider a cut and doesn’t for all 149s to jump to 157.
Weight | Lbs Diff | % Diff |
125 | - | - |
133 | 8 | 6.2% |
141 | 8 | 5.8% |
149 | 8 | 5.5% |
157 | 8 | 5.2% |
165 | 8 | 5.0% |
174 | 9 | 5.3% |
184 | 10 | 5.6% |
197 | 13 | 6.8% |

If Bryd is leaving after championship, he is looking for NIL. Guess that takes us out.He also think AJ will be a Cyclone. Here's his post from the Intermat board:

Just noticed this was the first post of this thread.Figure it'd be good to start a Portal thread....I'll start..
New 165'er possibly?
I thought we were one of the top NIL schools for wrestling? If Bryd is leaving after championship, he is looking for NIL. Guess that takes us out.
Maybe Swiderski could go 157?I think Tagen wants 149. Heard that Swiderski can’t make 141 anymore so he’s looking at 149 too
That would be Iowa and Michigan, in that order. Then a gap, then us and PSU.I thought we were one of the top NIL schools for wrestling?
I can’t imagine Iowa would be a big competitor for Byrd unless they’re willing to push Ayala out. Michigan maybe but they still have Ragusin there. If he does enter I feel like we’d make the most sense out of any school for him. That would be Iowa and Michigan, in that order. Then a gap, then us and PSU.
I am NOT saying this will happen or even implying.I can’t imagine Iowa would be a big competitor for Byrd unless they’re willing to push Ayala out. Michigan maybe but they still have Ragusin there. If he does enter I feel like we’d make the most sense out of any school for him.
A Minnesota fan on the intermat forum seemed to imply that we were after him.Someone on Iowa board said Max McEnelly is in portal. I dont see it anywhere, But if he indeed is.
DT please! Full court press!
I hope Flo brings their portal tracker back. It was nice to follow everything beyond the big headlines.
I would guess any and all programs with… involved NIL benefactors… are after himA Minnesota fan on the intermat forum seemed to imply that we were after him.
Minnesota kid that excelled at UM.A Minnesota fan on the intermat forum seemed to imply that we were after him.
There’$ plenty of rea$on$ to leave. Max could command one hell of an NIL package with 3 years of eligibility, and someone would pay it.Minnesota kid that excelled at UM.
Pretty crappy if he does leave.
If we just concede that money is the only factor in where you compete, yeah. There’$ plenty of rea$on$ to leave. Max could command one hell of an NIL package with 3 years of eligibility, and someone would pay it.
They have a beef? It’s hard to keep up the the beefs.I wonder if AJ actually goes to Iowa State, if that means Chittum will transfer out.
