This may not be a popular opinion, but it should be said. Nardo didn't have a chance. Don't get me wrong, he deserved to be fired and he should have been able to do better than next to last in the nation. However, he was doomed from the start. I don't think he realized, when he stepped foot on campus that he didn't have the talent to stop P4 teams. 3 man front, 4 man front, it didn't matter. He didn't have the talent and he didn't have time to recruit it. The whole D staff should be fired for the lack of talent on the D side of the ball. They are responsible for the players they had and they had shit! There were a few quality players but not near enough to compete due to the crappy job they did recruiting. Sure, Greg Richmond was fired after year 1 but there were no decent D lineman except for maybe 1 or 2. Everyone of those coaches on the D side of the ball let oSu fans down by being too lazy to bring in quality players.
