And, last time I checked, tapping the Tump Tower is/was illegal. These guys are professional politicians on both sides and they will do what it takes to keep their jobs...side agreements to side agreements, back door deals, that sort of fun stuff. It's not difficult to connect the dots. You think someone is going to come out and confess it was them? These guys make crooks look honest.

Where exactly did you "check" to make that assertion? Did Congress pass a law making an entire building off limits to surveillance (wiretaps) from both state/federal law enforcement officials and those federal agencies tasked with national security who would go through the FISA Court?

Absent proof of misconduct on the part of Govt Agencies in securing warrants (through state/federal court if a criminal investigation) and/or warrants through the FISC (national security) there would be absolutely NOTHING illegal about conducting surveillance within Trump Towers itself.

I have no idea what you are basing your opinion on that it would be illegal in and of itself.
