Looks to me that all this investigation has shown is that these two guys Manafort and Flynn were as dirty as I thought they were but not really involved in anything that the whole investigation was started for. Kind of like if I said I was going to go to the gym to work out but on my way their my car broke down so I had to walk a few miles back home. I worked out due to the walk but I didn't make it to the gym to work out. The investigation was all about how these guys were mixing it up with Russia and doing dirty crap and at the end of the day we are finding out they did dirty crap but just not the dirty crap we thought they had done. Here's the M.O. of Trumpanzees:

1. deny the fact (attack the accuser, insufficient evidence, fake news, liberal conspiracy, etc.); then
2. admit the fact but spin it (e.g. there's nothing wrong with filing out papers wrong, the law is stupid, there's no law against it, etc.); and finally
3. They did it too, so I'm fed up with everything.

Now we're seeing (3). It's the last fall back, and usually leaves with throwing their hands up and professing apathy at it all, thereby preserving their moral superiority in the face of having themselves created the cesspool. The third step starts with finding a functional equivalent of something liberal to water down the moral depravity of the MAGA consequences they're faced with. There's nothing that matches the criminality and disloyalty of the Trump crew, though, so enjoy the grasping at straws.

We're seeing this MAGA ethos in today in early Spring blossom. Flynn, Moore the pedophile (what a shock. In his defense, the 10 commandments is silent on pedophilia and that's his wellspring of morality), lack of any policy accomplishment outside of making appointments....
