Kamala Harris weighs in on private insurance

This was predicted years ago. Obama and others said throughout that single payer healthcare was their ultimate goal.

I watched her rally where she announced. I disagree with her on every point but I think she's a real threat to Trump.

Very well could win the nomination despite what polls are saying now.

She is the front runner in my opinion. All those Biden, Booker, and Beto votes will end up with her.

Beto will be a good VP pick for someone, IMO. Get the millennials even more energized for that candidate. Booker will fall off quickly.

Harris, Biden can both win. I don't think Warren or Gillibrand are good general election candidates.

Biden isn't going to work out. He is benefiting from name recognition, but he is going to fade fast when the rubber starts meeting the road. Gillibrand has an sincerity gap with the left and an Al Franken gap with the right, and is the most hopeless candidate. Warren or Bernie will drop out so as not to cannibalize the other's voters.

I was personally hoping for Father/Son combo Joe/Beto 2020.

(Jeez that's a huge walkback.)

Not really at all...more like a headline meant to get one to click on it . .. and read about Harris...

"Medicare-for-all is the plan that she believes will solve the problem and get all Americans covered. Period," Sams told CNN. "She has co-sponsored other pieces of legislation that she sees as a path to getting us there, but this is the plan she is running on."

Harris is already controlling the media cycle.

She's creating unnecessary errors.

Gives the impression of doublespeak and, ultimately, untrustworthiness.

Dating Sweet WIllie Brown when he's 30 years older and married... how's that play in Scranton?

As opposed to hooking up with porn stars while your wife is pregnant and three wives?

Come on syskatine, you are smarter than the Willie Brown nonsense. If that is all Republican opposition research can dig up on Harris, they are in serious trouble lol!

No see isn't. As usual, you are flat out wrong.

Harris is on fire right now and anyone with half a brain can see that. Her rollout as a Presidential candidate was about as good as one could get. She is already overshadowing all the other declared Democratic candidates.

If there is a worry for the Harris campaign right now, it is that she may peak too soon. Her campaign has to find a way to sustain while building upon her growing political popularity.

She doesn’t have a clue what she is talking about yesterday or today. Next liberal jack ass up.

Ever republican thinks she is doing Medicare for all and every Democrat now doubts she has the balls

I'm a Democrat and I know she supports Medicare For All. No doubt in my mind about it.

But I will agree with you that everyone is talking about her. And that is what it's all about.

Early win for the Harris campaign.

??? Everyone is talking about how full of shit she is? Great win?

Your wrong opinions remind me of someone...

Obviously an early win for the Harris campaign.

Yes, it is.

Read the article and look at the Democrats who are questioning what she said...

Dianne Feinstein, who has tried to stop Harris' rise to power in California ever since she was running for DA in San Francisco and has failed miserably.

Tim Kaine, good guy but Dems lost the electoral college with his and Clinton's message in 2016.

And Warren and Booker are consistently being asked about Harris while they are trying to build their own campaigns. That would suck.

Kamala Harris is going to be the next President.

It will surprise me if she’s at the top of the ticket. In the long run what does she have going for her? She’s black? Already been done. A woman? Hillary already used that chip. A bonafide liberal? She’s too far left. Has name recognition? Not much outside California.

She needs more seasoning. Her flippant comment about nationalizing healthcare was a huge gaff right out of the gate. She needs to learn to tone it down, talking to the country is not the same as talking to Californians. She’s already had to walk it back toward the center, but the damage has been done. After Obama’s lies about ObamaCare people are unlikely to believe her if she says she didn’t really mean what she said.

On YouTube there are several clips where she has looked foolish at committee hearings, looked too amateur against Trump administration officials.

But politically she would be a great addition as the VP candidate for all the reasons stated above. She’d bring out the black vote, women and liberals that might not vote otherwise. I agree she would be a boost to beat Trump. Unless she keeps up with the hard line leftist gibberish. The voting public is shifting to the left, IMO, but it’s not yet ready for an overnight big government overhaul of its’ remaining sovereignty.

As VP candidate she would have to toe a more moderate party line. No one in their right mind would believe she is really moderate, but they wouldn’t be voting for her, they’d be voting for the top of the ticket.

It would probably force Trump to drop Pence in favor of Nikki Haley. Then if Trump wins re-election that would set up a Haley vs Harris donnybrook next election.

For now I have no clue who will get the Democrat nomination. For the most part they all look frightenly weak to me.

But what do I know? I’m a freaky libertarian.
