yeah, I was scratching my head, but it very well could be that. that would make a lot more sense
 
Tough tournament, will be interesting to see how the young guys stack up against the Mizzou and WV starters. C Rogers is also listed at 174, didn't see his name mentioned above.

Turned it on Flo and watched what must have been Eli Hale getting decisioned as he is the only one to wrestle so far with the others getting byes. However, do not trust me on this as I had the date in the heading wrong.
 
Eli did get beat 7-2 by some guy from Indianapolis. 157 looks to the best most interesting weight for us with 197 second.
 
joe smith looked good against a guy from iowa logan mcquillan. i think he was going for the tech but settle for the major 24-10. he was working real hard on top to get a turn but never did. you can tell he's been working with ringer on top because he was trying those same tilts ringer does. i think thats an area where he's trying to improve the most. blees looked good as well winning 10-0. he did let the guy get to his legs a little to much for my comfort but he fended them off. in a couple of matches if blees wins he will have joey lavalle from mizzou which should be a good test. *

quick note blees looks pretty big for 157

Trying to follow this tourney is difficult. Flo has a live stream but it isn't on FloArena and there is no scoring graphics. The tournament is being run on trackwrestling but without live scoring or upcoming bout lists, just brackets.
So left with scrolling thru streams of 13 mats hoping to recognize someone and if I do then totally be in the dark on match status (score/period/time) as 99% of the time I started watching mid match.
Somebody dropped the ball and I'm guessing its Lindenwood.

*Flo is tweeting what mats some upcoming matches are on but other than that this isfrustrating for a wrestling junkie such as myself.

Eli Hale lost at 125
133 Logan Olson lost to Cory Stainbrook of West Virginia 4-3. Stainbrook has been their starter for 2 yeafrs.
141 Tristan Moran lost to Anthony DeAngelo of West Virginia 5-2
Dusty Hone has a decision and a tech fall at 141.
149 Blaylock won 6-0 in his only match
157 Ryan Blees two wins including a fall. Joe Smith two wins 24-10 major and a tech fall. Dalton Moran had a fall.
174Chandler Rogersby fall.
184-285 No wrestling yet.

Weigel loses 3-1 on a takedown in overtime but he should have been stalled out before OT. Watching him on his feet is like watching paint dry. He is definitely not the answer at 197.

Chandler Rogers has two falls at 174. Schafer won his last match by md 12-3. Andrew Marsden at 197 had a fall in 30 seconds.

The wrestler Weigel lost to in OT is ranked #8 in the country by Intermat.

He is also ranked 8 by Flo and 10 by Win but did not look impressive. He had one legitimate shot and that was in overtime for the win. He did however push Weigel out of bounds several times but Weigel not in danger of being taken down. Weigel made 0 (zero) shots in the match.

Jonce Blaylock wrestlesSpraggins from McKendree in the quarters and Andrew Marsden wrestles Shawn Scott from Northern Illinois.
We drew the short straw at 197 as Schafer wrestles J'den Cox of Mo. at 197.
 
If we have to use Weigel we are really scraping the barrel as he has one decent position and that is top. He is terrible on his feet and almost as bad on bottom he will be no help at all this year if ever to a D1 team.

To add further perspective he just lost in consolations by tf 17-0 to a UCO wrestler.
 
just saw nick pic pin his guy in the quarters. although it was a pin he did not look sharp on his feet which surprises me. not sure who it was but he let the guy get into his legs multiple times. if the other guy was stronger it could have made a difference in that match. mat wrestling was the difference.

Just saw Schafer lose to J'den Cox but only the third period and Schafer actually looked better than Cox, rode him a bunch and then let him up and made 4-5 legitimate leg shots but no takedown and Cox had his hand held up. He could have been ahead by ten or one but last period definitely was Schafer.

Again no score but Piccinnini just blitzed Barlow McGee of Missouri with takedowns and back points. He looks super good

Joe Smith had a fall over Kevin Cooper of McHendree at 157. No results yet from 174 or Marsden at 197 Blaylock won his second match at 149 and both of our heavyweights lost their first round but both won their only conso match.

Ober are you clairvoyant? I am watching on flo and checking track brackets and they have not even completed 184 yet where are you getting the score on the Cox/Shaffer match?

I am stymied as they still have not posted what I thought was quarters for both Schafer and Piccinnini. Did I imagine this? I only caught the end of both matches so I could be mistaken I guess. We will see.

Cox won by tech fall or at least they stopped the match with his last takedown and time did not appear to have run out.Sorry for the confusion.

Andrew Marsden wins 1312 and is in the semis Barlow McGee and Piccinnini wrestles Barlow McGee. I must ave been watching a Virginia wrestler earlier.
