Jobs, jobs and more jobs...

Sucks if you’re trying to hire quality workers.

While I agree with you the fact of the matter is when it comes to hiring/paying quality employees, business had it good for years and took advantage of it. Which is why we have seen stagnant wage growth.

Businesses are in need of workers they are interviewing prisoners coming up for parole or finishing their sentences.

All I hear from the blue collar industry is people want the job but they don’t want to work. Hard to fix that.
My father worked for the largest credit reporting company in the US before it was sold to present day Experian. They had a minority hiring program wherein they brought minorities into the company with the intent to make them branch office managers within 3 years. Most quite after 6 months because they hadn't been made branch manager and weren't given a company car.

Its weird how the job market has changed. The last generation was blended between those that wanted stability and those who wanted fast-paced change. Those that wanted the latter simply changed jobs every year or two and generally made a lot more money than the former. Today's generation wants the fast-paced change, but they expect the companies to provide it for them.
