Hamiti not getting bonus points and plott losing were huge disappointments. But iowa is a better overall team.
Hate to see Plott lose. Especially to any member of that family. Ferrari is a legit threat to be a 4 timer barring injury or him completing a family criminal trifecta
JFC! I just had this conversation with my brother earlier. After the s*** show we have with OSU Sports watch anything?. I showed a little faith and watched this tonight to see what would happen. I didn't even realize that we had a Ferrari Brothers still out there to buy us in the ass. What's next? Does beldozer have a brother or a son who's going to pick off a pass to secure a game against us?. Just to see that douchebag of a dad on video. Holy s*** where's the tylenol.
We are improving, but we are not at iowa or penn st level wise yet. Hope Taylor can get us there. He definitely has us headed in the right direction.

Felt they called stalemate or whatever it was early… Plott was improving his position in the 3rd when they both had legs… just annoying.
Yeah everyone struggles against the Ferrari’s and how they wrestle from their knees. Plott was just a little too slow and never could get in on a shot.

I guess I don’t understand wrestling well enough. How do they call you for stalling when you have the other guy’s leg in the air working for a trip while he’s hopping backwards to get OB?
They won't get these calls outside of carver

Because it's at Iowa and the crowd influences the refs. It happens every time we go there. How did the refs not call stalling on Ferrari when he's laying on his belly for the entire 3rd period?
Plott would easily beat Arnold. We should have redshirted all the guys possible and we would have likely had 4 guys ranked 1-2 next year (Hendrickson, Plott, Hamiti and Spradley) and returning all the lighter weights. Need some big time transfers but they won’t replace the guys who could have won the whole thing.
If Plott did his job we win the match 19-18. The stall calls against Plott and Surber were pretty insulting after no calls against Brands who did absolutely nothing BUT stall the entire match, that cost oSu a point.

Amine(Guessing that injured hindered him), Hamiti were disappointing. Surber and Plott I just expected way more of them. No offense at all. You can’t teach old dogs new tricks, but, those two wrestled so poorly.
After tonight I see 3rd to 6th with Nebraska, Minnesota, Ohio State us in the mix… hope they are better at peeking at nationals then the last few years

If position doesn’t improve to a hold above the waist, a stall point is awarded.
Amine has never been a shooter/scorer. Hamiti faced a good, defensive wrestler who went out there with one goal….not to give up bonus points. I think Hamiti has a chance to win it all if he’s on. Hendrickson can beat Kirkvleit, but not Gable. Plott has no shot at anything higher than 3rd barring injury to Starocci or Keck.

Yes. But Amine gave a MD. His defense was bad. Maybe due to injury, or risk of more. I hated that they didn’t call a single stall on Brands though.
I don’t really blame Plott. Ref let Angelo wrestle from a knee for way too long and Plott didn’t know how to attack. I would have like to see him just back up to the center and stay in a stance and make Angelo get off a knee and come to him but in carver ref might have called stalling on Plott.
Very painful night and this is common being a Cowboy fan. In general the 2nd half of the season we have not improved a bit and have likely got worse. This development that I have been looking for has not occurred. Plott gets beat by a true freshman and those that say he is better than last year, I would disagree strongly. Plott had the big advantage on the mat but in overtime he keeps pushing forward when he has no offense and surprise, he gives up his leg again. He should have been careful and get to the ride out. Surber got beat bad and Merrill is better but he is redshirting. Hendrickson was the star again. Hendrickson is the star of the team. By the way Ferrari is not a punk and he earned the win. Did our coaches not prepare Plott for Ferrari getting down on a knee because he appeared clueless. Hamiti stayed in a tie up with Brands for minutes doing nothing was he not prepared. This was a painful night at Iowa City. Nobody here should talk about how the Brands can't coach because they have beaten us 5 straight times and 6 will come next year. If our Coaches don't improve even with our great recruiting, we will keep losing against the best teams.
