There was little to no negotiation last night. That was Gundy leaking to make it seem like there were ongoing negotiations. The regents thought he’d turn it down but he accepted his being neutered to their surprise.
Gundy has talked to Saban on coordinators, including in-person. Got recommendations and we’ve moved forward on that front considerably. The new coordinators will be able to bring/pick which assistants they want from wherever.
Does anybody know anything about something that happened either pre-season or earlier in season that was a pretty big deal? Not sure what aspect it involves….Gundy, a player, the team. Chad apparently got reamed by the regents for not handling things in a timely manner, or at all.
And they felt very confident….at least from my source, they would easily win any lawsuit over termination for cause. There is a lot of dirt.
The anti-Gundy regents tossed Shrum and Weiberg’s plan. Ultimately told Chad to sack up and go give Gundy the 5 pm ultimatum. Not sure what the Shrum/Weiberg plan was but it didn’t include the ultimatum…at least not that one.
