So Jon has to be the one to kill Danny now. Nothing else makes sense.
Lol sad but trueYou guys do realize that she burned everyone and KL because Jon wouldn’t give her the D right. These writers are pigs.
Also the wild fire was weak sauce if the Mad King had that every where it would have been a bigger deal.
I think Arya's resolution was this episode with the Hound. I think her heroics are over.
Foreshadowing has all been about Tyrion is on his last Dani straw, Jon intervenes and doesn't get roasted, and Sansa does the deed. Way too much Sansa v Dani conflict for her not to play a role somehow.
Sansa probably has Littlefinger's jetpack he used to get all around the Kingdoms.Santa can get anywhere in the Kingdom and a night via her dog sled pulled by direwolves.
So Dany has to be out. I only see Jon, Tyrion, Sansa or no one as “King of the 7 Kingdoms.”
That was better than I thought it would be. Like you said, @JonnyVito, why was she able to out maneuver the giant arrows now and not before. I also wish they would have let the mad queen thing simmer more over time. That’s on the producers deciding to do this in 6 episodes. She went from not wanting a war inside the gates to burning down the entire city, even wayyy after the army was gone. I agree that was always the end game, just needed more time to get there. I’m guessing Arya is going to kill Dany or why have her in there to see the carnage. Clegane bowl was everything I wanted. I don’t believe Jon would ever raid a city like that but maybe I don’t know. Overall I like it, need to sleep on it to fully decide.
The dragon with the rider can dodge the arrows just like last week. The one with no human is an "easy target". My question is if it was so easy why didn't she destroy the fleet last week? That part just makes no sense.
Jon didn't intend to raid the city like that. He believed in Dani and thought she would only use as much force as necessary. He lost control of the situation.
They had plenty of time to scout out the limitations of the scorpions. Tyrion basically told Jamie that they had the scorpions figured out. They couldn't aim on the level, only upwards. She spent a good chunk of the attack on the ships staying low to the water. Also the scorpions on the wall were aimed outward, they assumed they could take her down before reaching the city. But she came from behind them and then attacked them perpendicular to their aiming.
People don’t like change. This was a slow meandering story line that turned into a race car. It’s not about the cinematography. The episode had holes. Big deal. What they were able to capture from the viewpoint of a common citizen of KL was nothing short of incredible.
Nothing pleases you people anymore.
They've already pulled that with the NK. They won't do it again. It'll have to be Jon.Or, as I posted last week...
He confronts Dani. She goes all Dracaris on his ass. Arya comes out of nowhere to take her out and save Jon.
Gendry is lord of Storms End, not High Garden. They've already pulled that with the NK. They won't do it again. It'll have to be Jon.
My guess, Jon kills her for sacking King's Landing. Then he either voluntarily gets killed by Grey Worm, kills himself, or somehow takes the Black again so as to not be a candidate for King (even though there is no need and nothing left of the Knight's Watch.)
What does that leave? Ugggg, I can't believe it but no body on the throne. A small council of people will rule. Would Brann be in charge?
And if Danny does die, what happens to Gendry's lordship? Is he no longer lord of High Garden?
Sorry. Storm's End. Will he keep that title if Danny is dead and wasn't really queen when she pronounced it?Gendry is lord of Storms End, not High Garden.
I always kind of thought the country would go back to being 7 kingdoms again. Nobody sitting on the Iron Throne. It’s setting up a little bit for that.

Wow, ok. That’s pretty awesome. Especially considering that was written last summer.Lots of foreshadowing re: Dani burning the city down.

Those were the store of Wild Fire left by the Mad King throughout the city. Everything came full circle. Jamie and Cersei are 100% dead.I wonder if the random shots of the green dragonfire exploding in town foreshadow something? They seldom add random things like that without using them later (and not much later to go).
Still not 1000% convinced Cersei/Jamie are dead.
How about the white horse for Arya? Revelations foreshadowing? 'And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.' She looked like she had a new name on her list.
Why were they not needed? There was tons of Wild Fire under the city. The city is burning. It only makes sense the Wild Fire would blow up as well. It would be lazy writing to not have them included in the blowing up of the city. Now, whether it means anything going forward, we will see, but I think it was just the old Wild Fire that neither Tyrion nor Cersei had picked up.I get what they are supposed to be... but that was completely un-needed for the shots. I think its going to mean something.
I agree. But how odd of an ending for Cersei. Basically the shows supervillian. And it’s like her death supposedly building collapse around her with no one directly involved and no one even knows she’s dead. What do they find her in the rubble? It didn’t even show her body. I’ve talked myself into it. She’s aliveThose were the store of Wild Fire left by the Mad King throughout the city. Everything came full circle. Jamie and Cersei are 100% dead.

And her and Jamie coming into this world together, being together all their lives, and then dying together in the collapse of everything they've worked for.I laughed, I cried. Great episode.
Monday morning QB-ing of GOT is not for me.
The Hound's reaction to stabbing his brother to death and him not dying was freaking awesome. Loved that scene, and their plunge to the death. Just perfect.
Also loved Euron's dying remark "I'm the man that killed Jamie Lannister!" Also perfect.
And Cersei is dead. They died together. Hard to miss the symbolism of the collapsing Red Keep crushing her under its weight.
