Let's inventory the most recent wins from the GOP:
  • Reinstating school segregation
  • Rolling back child labor laws
  • Threatening to arrest librarians for <checks notes>being librarians</checks notes>
  • Legislating plans of care to protect us all from those evil doctors
  • Declaring women incapable of deciding their own healthcare
  • Prioritizing protecting tax cuts over the health of the economy
  • Advocating for achieving deficit reduction goals by slashing assistance to the poor
Y'all need to run on that...

Looks good to me if only most of it were true.

Using the left's deceptive word-smithing doesn't lessen making your post smell like a pig hauler and pathetically laughable. You've been duped. Thankfully, there are still a lot of wise people in this nation who know better.

They've done great on health care, the environment, and kissing Putin's ass, too.

To a leftist, health care = chopping up babies & implanting fake tits into a crossdresser. So your opinion = pig shyt.

“Jessica Bernardo and her husband spent years trying to conceive, even consulting fertility doctors, before finally become pregnant with a daughter, Emma, last July.
Almost immediately, Bernardo was coughing so hard and often she would sometimes throw up. Fourteen weeks into the pregnancy, test results revealed her baby likely had Down Syndrome, so she consulted a specialist who gave her devastating news: Emma’s heart was underdeveloped and she had a rare, deadly disorder called fetal anasarca, which causes fluid to build up in the body.

“He handed me a tissue box,” recalled Bernardo, who lives in Frisco, Texas. “I thought maybe the worst thing he was going to tell us was that she’s going to have Down Syndrome. Instead, he said, ‘I can tell you right away…she wouldn’t make it.’”

The doctor warned her to watch out for high blood pressure and coughing, symptoms of Mirror syndrome, another rare condition where a mother “mirrors” the same problems the fetus is experiencing.

With Bernardo’s blood pressure numbers climbing, her OB-GYN conferred with the hospital’s ethics board to see if she could end the pregnancy but was advised Bernardo wasn’t sick enough. Bernardo spent $7,000 traveling to Seattle for an abortion a week later.”

“Samantha Casiano, a 29-year-old living in eastern Texas, found out halfway through her pregnancy last year that her daughter, Halo, had a rare diagnosis of anencephaly, where much of the skull and brain is missing. Her doctor told her she would have to continue with the pregnancy because of Texas law, even though her baby would not survive.”

Those are horrifying and heartbreaking stories and are the reason most people, myself included, believe there are situations where abortion is appropriate. We believe the same way Bill Clinton believes: abortions should be safe, legal and rare. The thing I would point out is the "rare" portion of the formula has been discarded by most of the Democratic left, which has concluded abortion on demand is the only solution. It would be nice if, in addition to the abortion horror stories you post on here, you could cite the story of a baby whose college age mother decided her promiscuity should be no reason to carry her healthy baby to term, it would be inconvenient to her life, and therefore she opts to have her child murdered in a sickening and disgusting fashion, just so she could be unencumbered. But of course you cannot report stories about the pain an unborn child feels as its limbs are torn from its body, because the baby doesn't live to tell her side of the story. Because of your seeming willingness to have babies slaughtered for any reason it is impossible for an honest and thinking person to want to be by your side on this issue.

Weird how safe, legal and rare abortions hit record lows during a Democrat’s presidency…and started climbing again when the imminent threat of bans came to be…

And speaking of honest and thinking people…I wonder what your wife and daughter think of your hyperbolic rhetoric?…

My wife and daughter think the same thing I think because they understand the horror that an unborn child faces when it is aborted. There's really nothing hyperbolic about what happens, nor is it hyperbolic to consider what becomes of the bodies once they are dismembered and discarded.

It's complicated. Both are vehemently anti-abortion but neither want the government interfering in personal decisions. I suspect there are a lot of people that feel the same way.

This continued flailing away at HoNeStY isn’t working, Dan.

Do you think accusing me of “flailing away” makes it true? I have told you I agree with your stance on abortion to a point. The difference between us is you apparently have no line where you find abortion, which, let’s face it, is the ending of a human life, often including excruciating pain before the actual death, also known as murder, to be unacceptable. I think you are on the wrong ethical side of this conversation. Most people have a moral compass when it comes to the taking of an innocent human life. Where’s your moral compass?

I figured it would be aimed fairly close to someone who proclaims anarchism and limited government intrusion into personal lives and would correspondingly abhor a law preventing doctors from aborting a baby with half a head until the mother’s health continued to deteriorate to a point where she’s siCk EnoUgh to warrant an abortion…sounds mOrAL and EthiCaL af…..

You actually read the article, yes???…

Yes, I actually read your link and responded that I found the situation horrifying and hearbreaking to the point I agreed with you that there are situations where abortion is appropriate, and those situations fall into that category. It sounds like you didn't read what I wrote, just responded in knee-jerk fashion.

Or perhaps simply rebutting your diatribe filled with them…

instead of making a supporting argument that these pRo-LiFe laws created issues and need fixed, you proceed to go into full “BaBy-KiLLeR” mode and tossing out any and all accusations therein lol

Cmon man. If you’re really in favor of these situations going away…call it like it is - Republicans admitting mistakes and scaling back their agenda, even in the slightest to avoid these unintended consequences…

There seem to be some Republicans that would ban every abortion every time without exception, and I think they are dangerously wrong in their assessment. I do not think they represent a typical Republican. But if they succeed in getting their way I think it will have a hugely devastating effect on their electability in future elections. In their place we will likely get Democrats that would legalize every abortion every time including up to the time of actual birth, which I also think is a dangerously wrong assessment. I denounce any person, Republican or otherwise, that would forbid women who face the situation the woman in your link faced from deciding to have an abortion. By the same token I denounce any person, Democrat or otherwise, that would allow abortion on demand, abortion of convenience, abortion right up to the time of actual birth. How about you, Clinton? Do you denounce those Democrats that want abortion to be legal for any reason, any time?

Sure I can, Dan…

By the same token, can you also denounce the rhetoric you used before, both in presuming what I believe, and also overstating the reality of the entire abortion issue? How many abortions do you think actually depict the tearing-of-limbs imagery you and others wish to convey? 1% or less of all abortions happen after 21 weeks.

I've denounced what I believe needs to be denounced, Clinton. My rhetoric conveys what I believe to be true. How many abortions is 1%, what's the number? If it's more than zero I say it is a disgusting, filthy, demeaning, horrific practice that needs to be stopped immediately.

5. states decide if killing babies up to birth are right for their values

6. sending billions to ukraine and funding unlimited illegal aliens and bailing out banks is the kind of physical responsibility that demands the gubmit access more of your money

but sure we need more communist control to cure problems the ccp/dnc creates

Want to talk about great examples of BS? Take a look at the asshats in the executive branch including the spectacularly stupid, imbecilic, disfunctional cabinet I have ever witnessed. The one thing they can hang their collective hats on is being the best liars in the history of US Government and that says a lot. Of course most learned the craft from the Obama Administration.

Does that happen 1% of the time, too? Regardless, yes, I denounce all murder of innocent human life. Do You?
Sure.

I just don't think a clump of cells = "a life" and I'm not going to substitute my judgment for the woman's that's dealing with it. What arrogance, what desire to control. Authoritarian.

That late-term abortion crap is just hypothetical sophistry. Something is really wrong if that's happening. Of course, you know better than a board certified obstetrician.
