GOP Convention | Ivanka wins

Practically reads like a textbook description of our current President.
Disagree, but maybe it is because I am blinded by partisanship. Would love to hear your perspective in detail, if you have the time. (Sorry if this sounds like a CBradSmith style "give me a thoroughly researched breakdown of Obama's Fascism using only the active voice. Please ensure your P-values are < 0.05")

The only true way to know if someone's argument is significant.

I like your style.

While stipulating that Donald Trump, who am I not voting for, has from time to time spouted off potential polices or actions that he would take that are or would be authoritarian to one degree or another, the candidate has ZERO requirements to follow the platform agreed to at the convention.

Dana White speaking at the convention today. I'm a big fan of MMA in general and of Dana's to a large extent. It does seem a bit risky though, as the UFC is still looked at as a blood sport by many.

@ThorOdinson13 I wanna see where you really come down on this test. It's kind of accurate, at least for me.

I'm not nearly as crazy as you think:

They've had two soap opera stars and an MMA guy.... huh. You can see the demographics the Donald is going for.

WTH??? Not further south?!?!?

Generally, as a first rule on these I never select the strongly agree or disagree, unless it's something asinine like "from each according to his ability to each according to his need. But I've read most surveys tend to give too much weight to those answers.

Let's take the first question right out of the box. "If economic globalization is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than he interests of trans-national corporations." If I select agree it's basically a support of government and regulation but on the other hand if I select disagree it's as if I support corporatism, which I do not.

"Controlling inflation is more important that controlling unemployment" This is all about government regulation.

"It is regrettable that many personal fortunes are made by people who simply manipulate money and contribute nothing to their society." I need examples for this one. What the hell does it really mean?

"The only social responsibility of a company should be to deliver a profit to its shareholders." I disagree but it doesn't mean I want government regulation.

"Those with the ability to pay should have the right to higher standards of medical care."
If this said more care I could get on board but customer service is customer service.

That's a few examples. I'll go take the other one now

I agree. About half the answers to the questions were "it depends."

Like the question about are the rich taxed too much. Do you mean in theory? Based on our current entitlement and debt obligations? What is rich? Do you mean income tax?

Can't figure out how to post the pick so:

Left/right: 6.0
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -6.0

Pretty much where I see myself and thought I'd end up.

No. There weren't any questions about guns, illegal immigration, racism, Obamacare, or integrity. The questionnaire was flawed. The questions about religion skewed my results.

There were plenty of questions about guns and immigration and racism and healthcare. Not sure where you're getting all this BS.

Really? Quote these "plenty of questions." I won't hold my breath because you won't be able to produce them. But I'll wait for your response. Surely you aren't full of shit, AGAIN.

Hint, @Clinton Scott, there isn't a single question about guns. There's one question about healthcare. No questions about illegal immigration. And zero questions about integrity.

Do you really want to be "that guy" moreso than you already are? An IQ of 135 should afford you a sliver of memory, unless huffing paint is a hobby of yours.

Quote the questions rookie. Don't make me do it for you and make you look like a complete idiot.

"Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races."

"No one chooses his or her country of birth, so it's foolish to be proud of it."

"People are ultimately divided more by class than by nationality."

"Those with the ability to pay should have the right to higher standards of medical care ."

"All people have their rights, but it is better for all of us that different sorts of people should keep to their own kind."

"First-generation immigrants can never be fully integrated within their new country."

"An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth."

It may not have specifically mentioned guns, but the general idea of protecting oneself is there. If you can't see that, we'll just agree to disagree.
