Generic Ballot

Democrats have been making complete fools of themselves and haven't offered one constructive proposal.

I will concede Trump makes me scratch my head at some of the sh!t he says but I'd say 80% of his policies and actions are spot on.

Politicians are all talk and no action Trump blowing things up is exactly why he got elected and for the most part he's delivering.

I would err on the side of caution, given:

1) “Nearly a quarter of voters, 23 percent, are undecided.”

2) “Trump is still underwater among independents: 39 percent approve and 49 percent disapprove.”

Trump’s endorsement has also been a death knell for candidates.

What will really be interesting is if they actually reach an agreement (that Trump signs) regarding the Dreamers. If that happens, what exactly will the Dems run on in 2018? What message besides 'what-about-isms' will they have left? Economy is strong (almost too strong, as we are finally see inflation levels that should have accompanied the Obama recovery if he had actually driven one). Tax reform directly put money in the pockets of the working class. He'll have been the President that legalized Dreamers. And he has turned ISIS into a real JV team. To the lefties here, what message or platform would Dems use to run against him? That his tax cuts simply enriched the rich? Too much deficit spending (that would be funny to hear from a Dem)? More Russia, Russia, Russia? I guess that will still be there, and I know I'm biased, but I don't see that playing a big role outside of the media echo chambers.

You retards were squawking "POLLS" and "BLUE WAVE" when polls were looking mighty favorable in December. Now it's "yeah, but..."

Good times.

As demonstrated by the 2016 election, the polls are virtually useless.
I would argue that any of the main stream poll that is favorable to Republicans under represents the actual numbers so the margin was to big to completely manipulate in the Dems favor.

I won't argue with that. When you bias the sample, you bias the results.

One thing is certain Dems don't want a deal on DACA unless it's a complete cave by Trump. They're more interested in an issue than a solution.

That last sentence is gold. That's as succinctly as the uniparty agenda can be summarized.

Keep everyone pissed or they might start thinking.

Weird how the narrative seems to gloss over that at will on this board. Strange coincidence.
Can you show me ANY example on this board where you find support for the Republican PACs while bashing the Dem ones? I can't say that I've ever seen it. But by you asking the question, particularly in phrasing "Republican Pacs", you seem to believe that PAC contributions and influence peddling is a partisan issue. Is that your position?

Dreamers are waking up, heard 2 on the radio and both pissed at Dems for not taking legalizing 1.8 million Dreamers. Said they realize now to Dems they are just a manipulated vote and that they believe what Trump offered was fair and they see the need for a wall. Said we now have a solution for Dreamers and the Dems do not want it. I am not certain the Dems want this issue. If you were a Dreamer, would you not be pissed at Dems for not getting you legalized? Those could be 1.8M votes for Trump. Like all humans, Dreamers want what is best for them, they want legalization in exchange for a wall. None of them want to go back, not a one. Who would you vote for?

After the midterms, the tax and spend republicans (sans the tax) will still control both houses of Congress. The meltdown of the MSM will rival, but not surpass, its own meltdown when Trump won.

Dems are desperate to not let Trump share any of the credit for legalizing dreamers.

They'd rather there be no solution and blame Trump than a solution that lets Trump take part of the credit.

Yes, it’s completely on the Dems lol. Trump’s ethnic cleansing hardline immigration MO has nothing to do with it haha.

Carry on.

His hardline immigration? Giving citizenship to 1.8 million “dreamers” which is more than double Dems wanted? Building a wall is ethnic cleansing?

Not once has he proposed rounding up illegals and shipping them home. He’s left of Obama on immigration.

@CSCOTTOSUPOKES not delusional. Liberalism is a mental disorder. He’s got it. He wants his team to win so bad that he misses the fact that Trump is basically on his team for immigration with the exception of the wall.

Except he wants to significantly limit chain migration and lottery visas lol...which means he’s nowhere near the middle. More swinging and missing continued by you haha.

Carry on.

In return for legalizing double what any dem has asked for. Lol.

“Trump signed an executive order on Jan. 25 (2017) that expanded ICE’s enforcement focus to most immigrants in the U.S. without authorization, regardless of whether they have a criminal record. Under President Barack Obama, by contrast, ICE focused its enforcement efforts more narrowly, such as by prioritizing the arrests of those convicted of serious crimes.”

So what? He is enforcing the laws of the country. That's why he was elected.

More of your facts?

“The bill he favors would change the law to bar naturalized citizens from petitioning to bring their parents, adult or married children, and siblings. Only spouses and children under age 18 (down from the current 21) would be eligible.

Trump also wants to abolish the diversity visa lottery, which takes up to 50,000 people each year from countries that are underrepresented in other categories. He would limit refugee admissions, which numbered 85,000 in 2016, to an annual maximum of 45,000.

In all, his plan would slash legal immigration by as much as half, the most drastic cut in nearly a century. On Wednesday, Trump threatened to veto any bill that doesn’t include such limits.
