Firehouse subs

They do a white-based cheese melt, multi cheeses, with some seasoning that you have to ask for. It's off the charts.

Anyone else ever had Porbelly? Maybe it is only a DFW franchise, but I think it is better than the other ones I have tried (about 5 of the ones listed ITT). They get bonus points for their milkshakes.

I woul rate Jersey Mikes 2nd.
I used to go to Potbelly for lunch in Houston all the time. Really good. I wish there was one on Tulsa. I don't know how many of these places succeed though. There are so many different sandwich places, including several local and regional choices not mentioned ITT.

For Tulsa residents, Jay's Hoagie's is IMO the best sandwich shop around.
I know of at least a couple of tailgaters that have used Jay's for tailgating.

Tried the new Jersey Mikes in Stillwater a couple of times. Didn't think much of it at all. Jimmy John's pre makes their sandwichs and keeps them refrigerated, no thanks. I like Firehouse and Which Witch.

Which Which is pretty good.
Jimmy John's is just OK, but only with the seven-grain bread (and easy mayo)---never seen the premade sandwiches, always made right there. I think Arby's just bought them.
Potbelly's is a cut above, but the selection is a bit more limited
The local made-to-order mini-franchise here is Head West, owned and operated by jam band stoners. They use a sweet bread and the selection is good but no seriously sometimes staff is too high to make an effective sandwich. Other downside is the persistent playing of the Phish XM station or something like that.
Haven't been to a Jersey Mikes or Firehouse---we have both here so it's just a matter of time

The only one close to me is in the Collin Creek Mall food court in Plano which kinda makes me suspicious but I'll reserve judgement until I sample this supposed hidden treasure.

The one at 121 & Custer is not bad...

Potbelly is great to go sit and eat. I don't think the sandwiches travel that well.

Their cookies are awesome.
