Tried them since there is a coupon on the back of the FB tickets and they are outstanding. I'm not a big sub sammich guy but they reeled me in as a customer and the coupon deal made was a smart move.

Thoughts?

Had them a few times. They're ok. But, what they do have is some bomb ass hotsauce. At least the local one by my mom and dads.

Cappriotti's out on the west coast is the best sandwich chain I've had. With my job I know a lot about this business. Firehouse is fine. They use quality stuff.

Charley's is legit also. I'll put it this way, I wont ever eat at a Jersey Mike's again.

Edit to add. D'Angelo's in the New England area is great also.

West = Cappriotti's
East = D'Angelos
Midwest = Charley's

I tried it a few times and was never a fan until I tried the steamer, that thing is really good.

I second Charley's!

The only one close to me is in the Collin Creek Mall food court in Plano which kinda makes me suspicious but I'll reserve judgement until I sample this supposed hidden treasure.

They have around 700 stores. They are all QSR's in food courts and airports. They use quality stuff.

They are developing a new concept call BiBiBop. It's a rice bowl thing and will be stand alone stores. Just in Ohio now but it is really good. Charley's is an interesting company. It is ran be a Vietnamese family. Ironically he calls himself Charley but I think that irony is lost on him.

I'm telling you guys though. Next time you go to Vegas get to a Capriotti's and have the Bobbie and the Capastrami.

Tater what about Jimmy Johns? Safe or not? I hate just about every other sub chain. I will have to try the one you suggested.

That's one of the bigger ones I don't know anything about.

I don't like the bread so I don't eat there, but it's simply that.

Jimmy John's gets the job done and that's about it. I don't know why they have to dump a pound of mayo on everything (even when u ask light) and I agree on the bread, it's very meh.

I never go out of my way to go into one to eat but they damn sure hook me up in a pinch when the wife isn't home and I'm in charge of dinner for some hungry boys. There's one 2 miles from me and I like to time them. I once clocked them at 9 minutes from order confirmation online to doorbell ring. It's never been more than 15 minutes. Freaky fast indeed.

We're on our front porch in midtown Tulsa a few years back and see a Jimmy Johns car drive by and pull into a house across the street, 2 houses down. I turn to the wife and say, Jimmy Johns delivers? She said, well I guess so.

So I pick up the phone and proceed to order a couple saniches' to be delivered. Give them the address and they say, we don't deliver there. I then tell them I'm looking at a Jimmy Johns car across the street. She asked the address for that house, I gave it, and she said, yeah, we deliver there.

Any chance you could expand your boundary another 30 feet and bring me my saniches'?Sorry, we can't do that.

Haven't given them a dime since.

A lot of them are owned by Josh Fields and Billy Bajema. Josh actually waited on my one day in Stillwater and then sat down and chatted for about ten minutes. They have bought the franchise rights to tons of them as well as Pie Five.

I love the club and the brisket ones. Won't try and others.

Josh fields is part of the ownership group in Oklahoma. After bedlam 2001 I'm A customer for life

Not a fan of JJ for the reason listed above. Funky bread. Firehouse has just never settled with me. Give me Jersey Mike's and Pot Belly as 1 and 1a.

Yea, Charley's is the best. Their cheese fries are great, too. I told my wife I wanted to eat Charley's for my birthday. Only kinda sorta joking.

Yeah, it's all funny until you get ready for an Italian with salt & vinegar chips only to have it mentally taken from you at the last minute. Not funny once you cross that anticipated taste bud threshold. It's worse than a fork in the eye.

If it's that bad Have them sprinkle of dash of your pride on top and walk the 30 feet? Heh

Weird I actually like Jimmy John's because of the bread.

This is the best part, in my negotiations I asked if they could just deliver to the house across the street and I'd just be standing in the driveway.

I don't think we can do that sir...

It was a Seinfeld episode conversation.

I like Which Wich. Firehouse is good. Never had Charley's sandwiches. Used to be a big fan of their chips and cookies.

Ran into the same issue with them. Each franchise has a territory, and they run into a lot of issues if they deliver into another franchises territory. Just figure out the right number to call and you will have your food within 15 mins.

Anyone else ever had Porbelly? Maybe it is only a DFW franchise, but I think it is better than the other ones I have tried (about 5 of the ones listed ITT). They get bonus points for their milkshakes.

I woul rate Jersey Mikes 2nd.

Charley's is the best philly cheese steak I have ever had. By far. You will love it.

I can appreciate this comment, but having lived in Philly for 2 years, you've obviously never had one from Tony Luke's.

The 2 big name places there are good, but the locals know where to go and they all pointed me towards TLs.

With or without cheese whiz?
