America was #1 in the world in education before the DEA was formed.
IMHO this is one of the lowest pieces of hanging fruit there is…..in fact it’s laying in the ground. Will result in the best and longest lasting changes there is for his administration and a Godsend for children everywhere.
I have no problem with having a DoE. As long as no one works there and no money is given or spent.
Having the federal govt holding money over states head to do what they tell them to do is wrong. If states want to attract a quality workforce, have a higher standard of living, they will fund education like it should be. Plus all the other benefits that an educated populace does for a state.

Looking at the goals of the DOE one has to ask, have they made things better or worse? Based on what I see the answer is they are failing miserably
