I agree. I think most do think adjustments need to be made. A 10-years timeline for anything nationwide is wholly unrealistic.

At least in the oceans they won't have to use eminent domain to build those. I doubt eminent domain will be received any better for trains that it has been for a border wall.

Sincerely, I do appreciate her passion. I think it's admirable a young person (29) getting active and wanting to change something she sees as wrong or corrupt.

Hmmmmm. So we can put a plant in Nebraska that captures the CO2 emissions of a flight from New York to Paris. Interesting. Why don't we just put these plants around everywhere right now and then not worry about emissions? We could be scrubbing the CO2 down to whatever level the alarmists say will create a static climate.
Maybe that's why the New Green Deal simply calls for zero burning of fossil fuels. If it doesn't work on renewables, it doesn't work. Hopefully battery powered planes are already approaching the production phase.

direct air carbon capture is expensive, but I bet it is cheaper than electric cargo ships and it is definitely more possible than batter powered airplanes.
I'm just reiterating what the brain power behind the Green New Deal has proposed. 100% clean and renewable energy, not just 100% renewable. That doesn't leave any spot for airplanes unless we've got some wind, solar, or battery powered models on the horizon.
"Carbon capture" sounds like we're accepting defeat before we even begin.
