Democrat/media talking points

Yes, by posting that the thing the people were protesting for was a ridiculous ceding of sovereignty.

My position that the protests were fomented by the West and in particular State Department funded (and directed) NGOs. The fact that the deal they were protesting for was a bad deal reinforces my position, it doesn't weaken it.
Why would the State Department and EU oust a legitimately elected leader in Ukraine for rejecting the Association Agreement? That sounds like it would be some hardcore meddling in a sovereign nation's affairs.

In order to poach Ukraine from Russia's sphere of influence. That's exactly what I am alleging.

Why would Crimea have an issue with that? The people of Ukraine seemed to be OK with it.

The Russians in Crimea
So maybe it makes sense that the Russians were protecting Russian dual citizens in Crimea, an autonomous region of Ukraine, from an EU and US orchestrated regime change in Ukraine?

Yeah man, that's exactly what I'm saying

Cool. The EU and US regime change, if that's what it actually was, certainly didn't appear to be too Crimean Russian people friendly.
Yeah it was a bad move. Like I originally said, the Obama administration took to hard a line and it turned out to be a big miscalculation because Putin called their bluff.

Do you think the Obama administration initiated and led the regime change? Or do you think they were a minor player with just public support and some money?

I think it splitting hairs to distinguish between initiating and leading and merely supporting when we are talking about a regime change that could have been stopped by the Obama administration.

Also if you want to absolve Obama, and just blame the Neoliberal Globalist Western order, I'm fine with that too.

Fair enough. I'm not trying to absolve Obama. It is interesting that a similar thing happened in 2004 only to be ultimately rejected by the Ukrainians in 2010. Out with the old oligarchs and in with the new oligarchs. That's democracy right there.

There are so many interesting narratives from this and the history of Ukraine going way back.

On this topic, do you think that's why the EU and US have taken such a restrained approach regarding Russia's annexation of Crimea? Essentially knowing that anything actually aggressive might expose the inner workings of the EU and US regime change, if that's what it was?

It's wild how much money NGOs have dumped into Ukraine since the 90s. I know I'm leary of the motivations of the people behind them. I'm guessing I'm not the only one.

No I think it is just a matter of not wanting to get into a shooting war with Russia. I don't think the EU/US is particularly worried about if their regime change machinations are exposed. The US's role in changing regimes worldwide is about the most open secret I can think of, and no one really cares.

Thanks for the reply.

Push that little wrench button, push delete.

Triggered by a like lol...I find it hilarious how mental illness is a proud, common projection from the right, yet we get this haha.

Truth is stranger than fiction lol

I’ve encountered enough of your jackassery to know you’re only half-joking.
Uh, sure.

#1 - We don't actually incinerate things that are alive or are of future value to sanitize them. My use of that concept was hyperbole.

#2 - That's not actually a disease, bacteria, medical condition, traumatic injury, virus, fungus, prion, cancer etc. I made it up as an additional play to my comment about incineration.

#3 I did predict to myself that you would whiff on the humor part because I have you wound tighter than your gimp hand is. You're waaaay too easy to fire up.
