First of all, very sorry to start another thread, but I can't figure out which one is the best place to ask this question. I have no idea what is about to happen but it sounds like their are rumors that there could be a number of new coaches with not enough spots to fit them in. Why wouldn't we just do the "UT-Gary Patterson" thing and name one of them a "Special Assistant to Coach Gundy". Everyone knows Patterson coached like he was on staff. He was all over the modifications to their defense. Hell, he was out there sweating on the sidelines every game. I guess, the only limitation would be recruiting. Put your best recruiters on staff and name the one left out a special assistant. I guess as it turns out this isn't a question, but an observation. Never mind. Carry on.
