Cluster B Society - Meet the Left's Religion

@my_2cents, @Syskatine, @davidallen, @ClintonDavidScott, @aliabedi were convinced I was a hard core right winger and hurled the same type of insults at me as you Trump loyalists hurl at me now.
Slight disagreement here. I never thought you were a "hard core" right-winger. I just thought, and still do think, that you are a right-winger. On most issues, you side with the right, not the left.

With that said, @OrangeTuono, Dan is definitely not a leftist on most issues, and he doesn't have "TDS." Dan has even stated that he would prefer Trump over Biden. He just disagrees with Trump sometimes and can sometimes be honest about Trump. I know that isn't allowed in your Trump cult, so yes, Dan is definitely not a Trump cultist.

I think this concern about mental health of the left is something to be concerned about. Not in a gaslighting way, but in a how to deal with them way post election.

The Left is very much at a precipice as they are about to lose their political power, lose validation for their "religion", and lose validation for their fundamental personal identities. They're losing literally everything they've "built"

How do we:
- Flush them out of our institutions
- Rehabilitate them to some basic level of morality and mental stability
- Help them to become functional humans again

VDH sums it up well here.

They have to see the error of their own actions. There will be many that will realize what they have been doing after yesterday. There will be others that don't. You can't rehabilitate this, they have to decide they f'd up. It's like a drug addict, or alcoholic, they have want help before they can get help that is effective.

The flush has to come in a flat fire 75% of the federal workforce. You will get people who are not in this category, but that's going to have to be an acceptable outcome.

Spot on. They need to hit rock bottom whatever that looks like for each of them. There does not appear to be a soft landing for most.

I see the discussions here with the Leftists and Anarchists, which so far would appear to have yielded zero progress. Most I have on ignore since they're little more than triggered responses waiting to happen - or looking to trigger others.

In the Cluster B world I think this would be the Neuroticism + some level of Narcissism, but I'm not a pro shrink. Net result is back to letting them wallow in loss of their religion, "morality" (using the term loosely), and individual identities. If they ever come out of it, good on them. If not, oh well.

2 pesos is a complete waste of your time. He doesn't even bring anything tangible to an argument. He is simply a punching bag that likes to get hit. Clinton can be logical from time to time, but it's rare, and Ponca has realized Trump is going to win so he is already in his anti-whoever is in charge mode. There are many more than these three, but they have been smart enough to stay away for the most part. They would do well to stay even further away now.

There will always be your Cluster B folks. I just ignore them as much as possible and try to reason with people who can at least critically think. People complain that this is an echo chamber, but the distinction that I see is that many on the right disagree, and we have many times here. I think I have disagreed with just about every "right" based poster here at some time or another. There have been other right leaning posters bring up ideas I haven't thought about yet, and that helps me to look at things from different angles. So, echo chamber I do not see. Thats the point of discussing these things, but civility will beget civility, and trolling will beget trolling it's just that simple.

Toonces isn’t so much a punching bag as he is one hellbent on practicing very specific argument tactics and ‘gotcha’ moments/arguments, usually shored up with healthy doses of false equivalencies.

The IGNORE feature is a non starter for me. The minority here quickly informs us the lack of ability to define a single element of critical thinking. I thoroughly enjoy reading the board's majority. It's easy to spot those who can define all seven components of critical thinking. Tulsaaggieson gets it. 2 pesos on the other end is equally a joy to read for the comedy.

Angry? No. Bored with your rote scripting? Yes.

What exactly do you WANT to see in the world? Not all the bullship to piss and moan about, but what do you actually want? What's your vision after you "tear it all down"?
Dan lives in a bubble.
