Cash on hand -- General Election 2016

Primary and General are 2 different animals.
I keep hearing this mantra from the media and I'm not buying it. The enthusiasm gap between Hillary supporters and Trump supporters is huge.

The media will do everything in their power to make people believe Trump has no shot so has to suppress his voters. I don't think it will work because alot of his supporters are people who don't give a damn about political parties or the media.

Calculate the cost of going on every show on every channel (for free) which trump does by making himself available and contrast that with Hillary hiding under a rock and having to pay millions for the same exposure.

Now where are we at as far as campaign finances?

Wanna bet that free media dries up?

No clue. It would be interesting to see if abc nbc and cbs deny him the opportunity to be interviewed. I'm sure trump would tell us.

Trump = eyes on TV no way they don't put him on every chance they get. They're in the tank for Hillary but they like money more.

It's ludicrous to act like money and fundraising don't matter in a Presidential election. Trump is losing in Florida and Ohio in most every major poll and he'll need both plus others to beat Hillary. I'm not sure getting on the news by saying controversial things is going to swing a lot of voters and the current polls indicate he needs to swing voters. He may not need as much money as Hillary but unless intends to start selling assets he better step up and start raising some money.

There's going to be plenty of money spent, it's only June they haven't even had the conventions. I bet by Nov. everyone is going to be sick of both Hillary and Trump ads.

Should they be required to interview him when he requests it?

No not at all but I know several cable shows have open invitations to anyone who has been running for president. I have no idea how the three networks do it on the evening or Sunday programs.

Simple answer: ratings whores win.

"The combined $51 million falls short of the $68.5 million that presumptive Democratic contender Hillary Clinton and the Democratic party collected in June, which included $40.5 million she raised directly for her campaign."

"More than $31 million was raised through two joint fundraising efforts with the RNC, which gets a share of the proceeds."

So he fell 20 million short of Hillary in June for funds that go directly to his campaign, is that what I'm reading?

Just the fact it's jump-started now will give it momentum from the folks who maybe perceived he wasn't taking a run seriously (and consequently did no fundraising). I expect this number to go up from here.

She has had full support of democratic power brokers as the next nominee for 8 years. Trump is fighting his own gop powerbrokers and has been since day one. Apples to apples? Not hardly.
