As our government regulators determine winners and losers. Hmm. I wonder what will be the determining factor. Ain’t freedom grand?
Is that what you got from reading the links?Tariffs.
Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
No, just from your posts. 🤣Is that what you got from reading the links?
There is nothing in my posts or my links that are flailing. The opinions in this link are quite calm in pointing out the error in Trump's economic (political) policy when it comes to tariffs. Whether he intends it or not the tariffs will be used by politicians and regulators of every stripe to aid their compatriots and punish their perceived enemies. That's the nature of the regulation game regardless of who the regulators work for.No, just from your posts. 🤣
A third opinion is a charm:
Tariffs Are Trump's Tool to Consolidate His Hold on Power
They won't only be injurious to the U.S. economy but also to its liberal democracy because he will use them to reward friends and punish enemieswww.theunpopulist.net
Dan's like that dancing monkey on the leash wearing a cap while jinglin his cup.If you had a brain in your head, you would still be a half-wit. Someone throw a coin in his cup.
Whatever you and @fairdinkem do don’t address the topic.Dan's like that dancing monkey on the leash wearing a cap while jinglin his cup.
Donald Trump very proudly gave himself the title of "Tariff Man."I believe trump inherited 12,000 tariffs when he first took office. I think Biden extended and added to trumps China tariffs, so “tariff man” isolated to trump is either willfully ignorant or disingenuous.

Choose what you want, Hary, it doesn't alter the economic fact that tariffs are bad economic policy.then I will choose disingenuous

Why not buy the product that most appeals to you and your budget regardless of who made it? Why stop at "buy American," why not devolve it into buy Oklahoman?" Why stop there? Why not make it " buy Tulsan?" Why stop there? Why not make it buy something made in your own neighborhood? Why stop there? Why not make it something you make yourself? Does that sound ridiculous (of course it does)? But it's exactly the same logic you propose when you insist government should force (through tariffs) every American to buy American. How much more number one would we have been without them? Why don’t you just buy American?

I bet the people in Guatemala think their country would be a great stopping point. Why do you think there should be a stopping point beyond the choices of free people choosing freely what products they want to purchase? Not ridiculous at all, those are all great ideas. Our country sounds like a logical stopping point though. I think based on your social score from postings here you should have to pay double tariffs.

I am happy to hear you explain the error I (and every free market economist that’s ever lived) am making.Jeebus! Did you learn your macro & micro economics via correspondence with Gump University? If so, did you pass?
Was yer name ever on Trump's list for economic advisor Dan?I am happy to hear you explain the error I (and every free market economist that’s ever lived) am making.
No. Was yours? Was yer name ever on Trump's list for economic advisor Dan?
Yer the one who claimed to be a "free market economist.No. Was yours?
Wrong, Woody, I’m the one who claims to read and follow the opinions of free market economists.Yer the one who claimed to be a "free market economist.
Fify. 😁Wrong, Woody, I’m the one who claims consideration along with the world leading free market economists.
BTW, Woody, there are no free market economists on DJT’s list because he’s a big government MAGA “conservative” who thinks he and his posse have the smarts to regulate our economy. That’s in stark contrast to the big government Democrats who think *they’re* the smart ones who know how to regulate our economy. Neither team has a clue what they’re doing but both have convinced their followers, people like you, they’re right and the other guys are wrong.Fify. 😁

I’ve never been dirty, but in my post-military years I did lean a little to the “hippy” way of life, assuming by that you mean anti-war and anti-authoritarian from both the left and right. And I think you should personally be as American-first in your consumer methods as you want to be, but you should leave the rest of us alone and free to decide for ourselves how we want to spend our money.Im America first
You are a dirty hippy
